Note/Thread on civilians evacuating from #Ghouta - It’s remarkable how the “International Community” goes missing once citizens are able to leave areas such as Ghouta or Aleppo before it. Cries about their well-being suddenly stop once they exit those horrible scenes ==>
2- In the period before evacuations commence, the world attention is rightly fixated on the fate & conditions of these civilians. One would think that once they leave, international organizations would rush to do all they can to reach the very people they have been worried about
3-Just this morning, one International agency made it to Adra. In a private conversation, the head of this group reported seeing nearly 7,000 people who made it there from Ghouta. SARC, Syrian Army/Govt and handful of Russians are the only ones there trying to offer assistance
