One thing I learned about existing online while being a [queer and fat] highly visible BW:
Some folx just wanna fight. That's really it. Some folx wanna fight and they see you as the perfect punching bag.
Case in point: I tweeted about having friends check you when you're showing your ass online.
SEVERAL people were committed to missing my point and acting like I was advocating for violence 🤣
Next case in point:
@ReignOfApril tweeted about how Trans rep is part of the #OscarsSoWhite conversation & should be taken just as seriously & certain Trans folx (guess that color) spun it as her centering herself & got mad when she said she would step back...like they asked.
Listen. Some mofos are miserable and will fight you no matter what you say. And the ironic part is that they would fight you more if you said nothing lmfao
The quicker you grasp that concept, the quicker you can protect your energy and sanity as a BW.
You're not a renewable resource. Don't let folx abuse you like you are 🤷🏾♀️
