The portable ramp to get around the construction doesn't work if there's not another one on the other side of the street, @SLU_Official.
#ADA28

Aaand after already adding 6 extra blocks to my route because of SLU construction, now I have to add another 2 blocks to get across the street to the other @STLMetro Grand elevator.
The shortest distance between two points is never ♿ accessible.

& nearly 2hrs after starting my journey from N Grand & adding yet another unnecessary half mile b/c @googlemaps kept trying to send me down unpacked gravel trails in Forest Park, the curb "ramps" to @stlzoo are actually steps & one is also blocked w/ little potholes.
I give up.

Wasted so much ♿ battery already today. I'm told at @ForestPark4Ever Visitor Center that the facilities ppl I would make #ADA complaints to are at other end of the park & to take the trolley.
One problem with that plan is the @STLMetro Trolley stop is not accessible either. 😩

Why the International Symbol of Accessibility actually means absolutely nothing. This is completely unpacked loose gravel that a wheelchair cannot go on without getting stuck.
@ForestPark4Ever

All I wanted to do this morning was go take photos of the polar bear, not spend 4 & half hours doing an unpaid accessibility audit for @ForestPark4Ever & @STLMetro who should have had this all worked out over a quarter of a century ago. 😩

The signs telling walking people the wheelchair spots on the train are reserved don't do any good when walking people don't read them & don't get up when they see a wheelchair user trying to get on the train, @STLMetro.

Waiting for the NEXT train now.

Got the next train.
While I'm on a roll here, you're still missing a digital readout for d/Deaf passengers who can't hear the announced stops, & your sign is wrong. #ADA allows other guide dogs besides Seeing Eye™ brand, as well as service dogs & mini service horses.
