A few updates on what's happening with my christackettnow webpage / dashboards. I'm changing the structure on some of the pages, which I hope will keep the info just as clear, but allow a deeper dive if that's what you are looking for. I'll detail changes below.
First up is a new page for Texas statewide races. I had done posts about statewide elements, but had not dedicated space on the site for them. That has changed. Gov, Lt Gov, Commish (RR, Ag and Land), Attny General, & Comptroller are all captured. bit.ly/txstatewide #txlege
Please note that since Greg Abbott is a freaking donation machine, the Statewide page can take a few seconds to load. Seriously. Abbott has had 77,733 donations since 01/01/2017. #txlege
2nd new page is also on Texas statewide races. This is where you can see all of the statewide candidates / donors on one page. This includes total donations, donor count and avg donation, on both the candidate and donor side. bit.ly/txstaterankings #txlege
Texas Senate races are all updated on the site with a slightly adjusted layout. You still have the top 10 donor pie chart and what city a donation comes from, but I've added the full donor list to a candidate in the center of the page. bit.ly/txsenatecontri… #txlege
Let's dig into the changes just a little bit so that you can all be power users. When on any (statewide, senate and soon the house) contribution pages, the default chart and table that comes up is ALL in the race. Attached is the current TX Senate races. #txlege
If you want to see a specific candidate, you can use the drop down list to pick your poison. For an example, I'll pull Bob Hall, from SD02. Hall has raised $1.3MM from 657 donations, an average of $2,103 per donation. Empower was top donor ($393k) and 28% of total. #txlege
Now if you want to see what Bob Hall (SD02) has done for fundraising just in 2018, you can use the date filters to zero that in. In 2018, Hall has raised $792k from 213 donations, an average of $3,722 per donation. Dan Patrick was top donor ($247k) and 31.2% of total. #txlege
The other element I've added to the contribution charts is a Party drop down. For example, if you just want to see who has given to Democrat senate candidates in 2018, just filter for "This Year", "D" under party, and leave the candidate field blank. #txlege
I'm hoping this restructure makes the pages more user friendly for everyone. Here are links to the updated pages:

I am doing the same rework on the House race pages. They should be up by this weekend.
