This is what a #Hamas ceasefire looks like ๐๐ผ
#BREAKING: In response to over 36 rockets launched from #Hamas-controlled #Gaza, #Israel responded with air strikes. This press release describes what happened. ๐๐ผ
#BREAKING: @IDFSpokesperson releases footage of #IDF strike in #Gaza in response to dozens of rocket attacks from #Hamas territory. #Israel targeted 12 sites including a tunnel-parts factory, a maritime offensive terror tunnel shaft, & other Hamas terror locations. Watch here ๐
.@i24NEWS_EN reports that one of the rockets fired from #Hamas-controlled #Gaza struck & damaged an industrial plant in #Sderot, #Israel.
(Depending on the extent of damage, Iโd expect a more comprehensive air strike response from #Israel.)
This was going to be a Marriott Hotel on the beach in #Gaza but construction was halted years ago. In 2012 #Hamas used the building as shelter, believing the #Israel wouldn't target a civilian hotelโs construction site. In 2013 Hamas began using site to construct concrete parts.
#Hamas operatives now reside in the site & they've dug launch sites next to the structure, where they continued to construct parts for terror tunnels rather than reconstruct #Gaza for the people. #Israel wisely put an end to that & targeted it today.
Here is the #Hamas central logistical military facility #Israel targeted today in response to dozens of rockets fired at civilian areas. ๐
#Hamas uses civilians as shields as it conducts terror ops from #Gaza. Here's a rocket manufacturing facility located next to a 5-story residential bldg in a packed neighborhood. If civilians die when #Israel strikes, Hamas considers it a feature, not a bug in their plan.
Just as the #Hamas-sponsored violent riots at the #Gaza fence are designed to court an Israeli response that kills civilians, so too are the locations of Hamas production facilities. #Israel targeted that rocket manufacturing facility today (see previous tweet).
If some terrorist group launched ~100 rockets in 12 hrs at any location in the US, we would completely flatten the place without a second thought. The American people would demand it. Citizens in any civilized country would expect their gov't to eradicate the problem immediately.
Much of what happens in #Gaza, including terrorist escalations, are a function of local issues. Still, we mustn't discount #Iran's sponsorship of #Hamas. Days ago #Israel killed in #Syria a significant scientist involved in long-range missile production. It may be a factor.
#BREAKING: #Israel strikes over 100 terror targets in #Gaza after #Hamas & its terrorist allies launch dozens upon dozens of rockets into #Israel all day & night.
(I believe this is the most comprehensive Israeli action in Gaza since the 2014 war)
#BREAKING: #Israel is considering a full-scale military campaign in #Gaza in response to over 150 rockets fired from #Hamas-controlled #Gaza.
In a briefing today I learned that #Hamas has HUNDREDS of kilometers of underground infrastructure in #Gaza. The entire Strip in only 41 km long. Imagine if the terrorist group constructed infrastructure for the Palestinians it governed instead? #Israel
What it means is that a lack of reconstruction aid isnโt the issue in #Gaza; itโs how it is used and abused by #Hamas.
This is the building used by #Hamas Interior Security Services locates in a residential area in Northern #Gaza. #Israel targeted the site today. Press release below ๐๐ผ
Naturally, journalists embrace the #Hamas propaganda campaign in #Gaza, thereby boosting the morale of the very terrorists who endanger the lives of civilians as part of their strategy:
Predictably, a mixture of #Hamas supporters & agitators gathered again today for yet another violent riot along the #Gaza security fence. No sane & sovereign country would allow the unobstructed entry of terrorists led by a group that fired 200 rocket launches a day ago. #Israel
