Families are still separated. This is Raquel. Her two sons are among the 565 kids STILL separated from their families. Deadlines have come and gone for the #Trump Admin. + kids remain in gov. custody. Raquel is afraid her family will be forgotten. @NBCLatino @NBCNightlyNews

This is Raquel’s 9yo son - being held at a gov. facility in Houston. He has autism and doesn’t understand why he can’t go home with his Mom.

Raquel’s eldest son, 13yo, is being held in a separate facility in San Antonio. She tried to get to both facilities as often as she can to visit her sons.

.@ICEgov claims Raquel is a “documented MS-13 gang member” but she says adamantly denies that and her attorneys have proof they’ve shown to the gov. - they thing #ICE mistakenly classified her as a gang member and it’s why she can’t get her kids back

Raquel fled El Salvador w/ Herr sons after police officers abducted her. “They hit me. They dragged me. They tortured me,” Raquel said. She didn’t think she’d make it away alive.

Now, Raquel is fighting to get her kids back. Until then, her sons write her letters like this one... “Hola Mama, How are you? I hope you’re well. I love you. We miss you so much. I love you. Kisses and hugs.” Watch her story tonight @NBCNightlyNews nbcnews.to/2BmUqnr
