(1) Here's a short, intriguing story that is bound to be of interest to some. It involves @shahmiruk, @darrengrimes_, @chrisinsilico and @carolecadwalla. Also, among many others, @matthew_elliott, Dominic Cummings and @DanielJHannan.......
(2) It's a strange tale of how a collection of powerful, right wing, ideological #Tories took it upon themselves to employ, manage and manipulate the young, ambitious, and impressionable. Eventually using them toward a means to an end that has been decades in the making.......
(3) Wait? You know this story already? #VoteLeave set up a 'fake' company for a couple of students.... etc. etc. etc. Yes, that is correct. Except this wasn't the first time those behind the Vote Leave campaign had set up a fake firm in the name of young activists......
(4) Back in Nov 2015, PM David Cameron was heckled at the @CBItweets annual conference in central London by two 19 year old students, Peter Lyon and Phil Sheppard. They were granted access after "pretending to be businessmen" representing the company, Lyon Sheppard Web Solutions.
(5) Of course, 'Lyon Shephard Web Solutions' was a bogus company, set up by #VoteLeave solely to enable two teenagers to interrupt a PM's key speech to business leaders. The cheap but effective stunt was defended at the time by none other than Vote Leave's Daniel Hannan....
(6/6) So it turns out young Grimes's 'BeLeave' was not the first teenager's 'fake' company formed with a singular aim by the execs at the very top of the #VoteLeave campaign. Perhaps Darren can take some solace from being 'given' £675,000 by Dominic Cummings....
Or maybe not...
