In January I took a long look at the #Falcons defense and everything they brought to the table. This is a fast, aggressive unit with talent at all three levels. My plan is to build off of this piece in this week's write-up

Shot 1 - The #Falcons have some juice up front on passing downs. Takk McKinley, Vic Beasley and Grady Jarrett have ability to be very disruptive, and they use all of them in various 2- and 3-man games in their 4-man rushes

Shot 2 - Grady Jarrett is very disruptive on the interior thanks to his quick first step, snap anticipation and hand-usage. Jack Crawford is still a consistent, versatile player for them, and the addition of Terrell McClain will serve this DL well early on #Falcons

Shot 3 - A rookie who has flashed all summer for the #Falcons is NT Deadrin Senat. Stout with heavy hands, light feet and a high motor, I expect he'll be the starter at nose tackle sooner rather than later for this team (also a teammate of #Eagles DT Bruce Hector @USFFootball)

Shot 4 - These #Falcons LBs, led by Deion Jones, are so athletic and perfectly fit that scheme. Jones has blossomed into one of the best in the league at his position

Shot 5 - I love this duo of #Falcons starting CBs. Desmond Trufant and Robert Alford are both competitive, versatile guys that can do anything Dan Quinn needs on the outside. Check out this play by Alford from the preseason!

Shot 6 - The #Falcons took Isaiah Oliver in the 2nd round and we've seen some good and some bad so far this summer. Long, smart, talented corner with great ballskills. Needs refinement in press coverage. Great guy to groom behind Trufant/Alford

Shot 7 - Second-year FS Damontae Kazee really stood out to @BenFennell_NFL and I while watching the #Falcons this summer. Undersized corner was extremely productive in college but was ultra-competitive. Some big-time plays here

Shot 8 - Keanu Neal is one of my favorite safeties in the game. Equal part run defender and coverage piece. He's their man-to-man matchup guy against tight ends (will see Ertz Thursday night). Intimidator in the box in run game. #Falcons
