Monday was the weirdest greatest awful fantastic day. #MySpoons are legit confused.
So I know Mercury goes Retrograde on the 22nd. So my life has been about legit getting as many things airborne as possible before communications fail.
Sunday night I kept trying to sleep but was plagued by night mares. The 3rd was so terrifying I was afraid to sleep again.
One minute I was on the phone with a colleague in the dream, walking somewhere dark but familiar.
(Which I never do IRL.)
The next I was swept up and backwards, off my feet, by a smothering darkness, terrified but fighting.
It laughed a deep, evil cackle, echoing like it was emanating from the night itself.
I woke up fighting. It was a full hour before I was calm enough to move around & speak.
So yeah, fun start to the day!
After which one would expect the tone to be set, right?
Nope. I had one of the most energizing mornings.
Once I was fully awakened, I figured I should reset myself. Did some EFT, did a manifesting meditation & focused on having a can-do spirit.
Being centered seemed to align me with the brighter side of my life.
My sis made me eggs. I was able to come downstairs & drank coffee. I then got more work done today than in the 6 weeks past.
Then I had a nap and was awakened by another less petrifying nightmare.
But I did some deep breathing. And luckily today I was able to mentally focus. And went on to enjoy the day.
The day ended well too.
My brother in law bought me something for dinner, which my sister brought to me.
Eating fueled a second wind after the kids went to bed.
And Tuesday there will be enough adults around that I need not stay up until morning.
Puzzlingly good day. No idea why but I'm grateful.
I had a short-lived migraine in there too, but even that was caught before it went nuclear and hemmed in with meds.
Counting this as a win. Going to finish up this project.
Thinking of what the day could have been and what it ended up being, EFT & guided meditation gets at least part of the credit.

I know it sounds corny AF & believe me I'm not one of these people who thinks meditation is some overnight miracle cure. But it helps.
I do the guided type so I don't have to figure out what to do. You can find a bunch of these on YoiTube, some as short as ten minutes.

Not everything works for everybody. But if you're struggling, try a few. If I don't sleep enough but I meditate, it gives me a little extra boost to get me through. An extra spoon if you will.
