Social Justice High School gives a bilingual presentation on the work of establishing a unified #studentvoice across the 4 LV high schools

They led a combined 4 school walkout on #MarchForOurLives and have lobbied local politicians for resources to organize students. #Chinola2018

Curie students are organizing for access to clean water at school. The fountains are unsanitary and the school charges $2 per water bottle. #Chinola2018

Students at Back of the Yards HS started #anappleadaykeepsadminaway in response to a ban of food in school. Their bags are searched and outside food is confiscated. #Chinola2018

Students organized a 500 person "apple-in" where all brought apples to be confiscated to show how the Aramark contract enforces their monopoly. Also planning a multi school action on family unification. #Chinola2018

students have been focusing internal campaigns on swimming accessibility, bathroom dignity, food justice and led a #MarchForOurLives focusing on all forms of violent injustice including #ICE and school closings.

Kelly HS students are starting a Black Student Union, GSA, and supporting #nocopacademy and ending the
#gangdatabase. They received pushback for being too radical so they kicked their dean of students out of their club. #Chinola2018

Brighton Park Elementary students led their a #MarchForOurLives action and are engaging in a half dozen different SV campaigns. #Chinola2018

Washington HS is engaged in a long-term campaign to address student mental health issues in a proactive way. Also fighting admin to provide feminine health products to students. #Chinola2018

Washington HS also has conducted a student facilities audit and will lead a walkthru post break.

Juarez HS coordinated a teach-in with the #MarchForOurLives where teachers could cede their normal classes to instead support student lessons on immigration rights, community justice and other social justice issues. #Chinola2018
