8/ School segregation remains fairly common.

9/ Black-white high school completion gaps have narrowed…

10/ …the college education gap, however, remains huge.

11/ Black voter turnout has generally trended up for the last couple decades.

12/ Incarceration rates have grown a lot — and black people have suffered the most as a result.

13/ And black people are more likely to be shot and killed by police than their white counterparts.
