🔎 (1) The Department of Interior IG released a report on the major shakeup in the #SES looks like all the Senior Executives were replaced and the investigation looked to understand both reasoning and procedure.

(2) According to Trump appointed DOI Deputy Secretary the #SES failed to follow any guidelines from 2009-2017 furthermore Senate delays to confirm key nominees made it difficult for current admin to evaluate procedures (thanks @SenSchumer )

(3) Should also be noted that he was stunned by how many functions within the Department that seemed to have been operating as they pleased for quite awhile.

(4) The ERB is responsible for replacing #SES and it is comprised of both political and non political appointees, it looks like two advisors were also added along with two career senior executives.

(5) Secretary Zinke formed the ERB who proposed reassigning 35 #SES members and on June 15th 33 of them were sent emails of reassignment🤣 This process cannot technically take place until 120 days after the Secretaries appointment.
#DrainTheSwamp

(6) While is appears the reasons for reassignments were not documented the IG relied on the impressions the #SES received. Looks like quite of few of them felt it was punitive or they had conflict with the new leadership. #BuhBye

(7) While there is much speculation about the function of #SES at its core and working properly, it would not appear as nefarious as many have claimed but that would also depend on who is in charge🤷🏼‍♀️ The good news is it looks like it’s had a big house cleaning.
