- A little mini thread dedicated to that Sweet Fudge @HNIJohnMiller and Ben Linus from his other show @NameRedacted7 .
#SemiRespect's take on the lack of raids on the Clinton's and all the obvious criminals over there... Untouchables style...

- Remember the Costner version of the Untouchables? Elliot Ness is sent into Chicago to clean out Capone & the mafia bootleggers. Everyone knew who was doing it and where they were.

- Capone was out everywhere, ballgames, the opera, wherever... the press adored him, they loved joking with him and being in his good graces... sound familiar?

- Ness comes in and what's his biggest obstacle? Is it the ruthless mafia? Nope, at first it's dirty cops, crooked politicians & the media. The corrupt authorities and the press hand in hand, sound familiar?
"This town stinks like a whorehouse at low-tide"

- The dirty cops would snicker as Ness tried to use the law to bring down the law breakers, smugly thinking there's nothing he can do.

- "Who can ya trust? Nobody, 'cuz nobody wants ya here!"

- So, what does he do? He recruits a very SMALL team of guys, an honest cop who's outside the "clique" but knows the town, a rookie who could not have been corrupted yet & an accountant who no-one would bother to corrupt.

- What did they do next? They let the dirty cops go on feeding them bad information, fake stats and lies. While they told no-one their plans & broke down the mob enterprises bit by bit. Causing the mob to turn on each other, the dirty cops & anyone else.

- How did they get their info? One high-up cop who was himself corrupt but sickened by the widespread corruption, would feed them info on the sly.

- However, in the movie he feared he was outed, so he turned on Malone and set up his murder. That's why everything needs to be as stealth as possible, some white hats are more like grey hats.

- Sure, Capone was at the top, a brutal murderer, pimp, drug dealer & thug. Everyone knew where he was. But the media loved him and he went down on income tax evasion. No big shoot-out, no big explosion just a court trial.

- A court trial featuring a corrupt and dishonest judge? Hmm, that sounds quite familiar too. Each of these elements had to be to spotted, rooted out and/or dealt with, methodically and over time.

- No matter how hard they tried, the media was forced to eventually simply report what happened. Powerless.

- Can you imagine President Al Capone? We don't have to, we all just lived through it.

- Be an optimist, why not? Is Donald Trump Eliot Ness? Sure, why not?
The Queens NY Billionaire version... like Don King says... Only in America!
