Book Club (2018) - i can’t believe jane fonda single handedly invented sex positivity for women over 60

Death Becomes Her (1992) - meryl and goldie slaying in their 40s, i <3 90s special effects

Strangers On a Train (1951) - my girl patricia highsmith at it again with that 50s gay energy

To Catch a Thief (1955) - grace kelly is the most captivating woman that has ever been or will ever be onscreen

Baby Face (1933) - it’s amazing how much dykey energy barbara stanwyck manages to give off in a movie about her fucking men

Jenny’s Wedding (2015) - katherine heigl spent literally an hour and a half talking about how gay she was and her sister still gave off more lesbian energy than her

Clouds of Sils Maria (2014) - kstew has never looked better, could have been gayer

The Witches of Eastwick (1987) - i’m gonna pretend that jack nicholson’s crusty ass wasn’t in this but cher, susan sarandon, and michelle pfeiffer still had just as much sex with each other #stop10sdating2s

Dial M For Murder (1954) - murder mysteries sure do have a lot of exposition, shoutout to the ticket lady who charged me the seniors price

Vertigo (1958) - the cinematography of this movie had me so emo about san francisco

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) - wow marilyn monroe really is unreal onscreen but jane russell is the most iconic slut of all time

All About Eve (1950) - there’s some performances where you’re just like o i get why we still talk about this

The Women (1939) - this movie had literally no men in it hollywood it’s time to return to your roots

Batman (1989) - the only role i will accept jack nicholson in, fire jared leto and rehire jack

The Children’s Hour (1961) - this movie was fucking t r a g i c but it’s also a canonically gay story about shirley maclaine and audrey hepburn so i’m torn

Rear Window (1954) - grace kelly is straight up distractingly beautiful in this masterpiece of a film

whoops i watched To Catch a Thief (1955) again because i will never say no to an opportunity to stare at grace kelly on a big screen for 2 hours

True Grit (1969) - my grandma loves john wayne so fucking much it’s adorable

Clue (1985) - the other week i was drunk watching this movie and ordered a theatrical sized poster and i have absolutely no regrets because every second is absolute perfection

Pariah (2011) - wowie i’m bawling but this cinematography was beautiful and alike deserves the world

The Parent Trap (1961) - once again i have no idea how tf they made this movie, not as good as the remake but i’m in love with the mother in both versions

Solo (2018) - so lando can fuck a robot with metal titties but we can’t have an explicitly queer character in a disney movie?

Lifeboat (1944) -
“i want to watch something with tallulah bankhead in it”
“you don’t expect me to know who that is do you?”
“oh she was like one of the great actors of the time. she did mostly stage work but this is one of her best known films...she was also queer”
“there it is”

Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story (2017) - do you ever just fucking sob over how absolutely, totally, royally fucked over actresses in studio hollywood and women in stem in the 1940s were let alone women who were both?

Ecstasy (1933) - hedy lamarr was the first woman to ever be shown cumming on screen what an icon what a pioneer

Ocean's Eight (2018) - i have talked basically nonstop for 2 years about how gay i am for every single woman in this cast but nothing could have prepared me for how gay i would be for them all in action

Algiers (1938) - i rarely look at straight couples in movies and think wow they should fuck but like these two really should have fucked

The Birds (1963) - i have never walked out of a theater so stressed to just be outside like,,,,why did those birds do that??

Psycho (1960) - it’s kinda weird watching a movie where you’ve known the big twist your whole life but i still had a great time

Gone with the Wind (1939) - everyone in this movie is absolutely terrible but clark gable and vivien leigh clearly had great hate sex, it did not have to be 4 hours long

Gilda (1946) - it has quickly become apparent that i don’t handle watching old movies well because every leading lady is absolutely breathtaking and i am Gay

The Philadelphia Story (1940) - wow i have genuinely never felt more represented than by katharine hepburn’s drunk ass sabotaging her own life

Casablanca (1942) - not to sound dumb but this movie was really good, i couldn’t stop thinking about kate mckinnon’s ingrid bergman impression

Notorious (1946) - these fuckers had the gall to whore out ingrid bergman and then judge her for it fuck men i’m so mad

Walk on the Wild Side (1962) - *stefon voice* this movie has everything: lesbianism, prostitution, 24 year old jane fonda, the og Stray Bullet™

The Lady Eve (1941) - i could watch barbara stanwyck scam men all day, it is remarkable how much jane fonda looks like her father

Ziegfeld Girl (1941) - apparently people used to pay to watch women walk down stairs? and by the end of the movie i kinda got it?

Morocco (1930) - it‘s been nearly 90 years and the world has still not recovered from marlene dietrich in that goddamn suit

Night Nurse (1931) - isn’t it wild how the crazy censorship code that plagued hollywood for 30 years can be traced back to shit like barbara stanwyck walking around in her underwear for 2 minutes?

Double Indemnity (1944) - at first i was like why would you plot a murder for a woman you met 5 minutes before but then i was like tbh i would also do it for barbara stanwyck

Oklahoma! (1955) - my mom and i sang along while we did a puzzle and it was wholesome af, i was wrong gloria grahame is the most iconic slut of all time

Sabrina (1954) - 30 year age differences make me uncomfy, audrey singing la vie en rose had me fucking swooning

When Harry Met Sally... (1989) - i enjoyed this very much despite myself, i also completely forgot carrie fisher was in this and screamed

Laura (1944) - if i had lived my life as a sad repressed lesbian in the 1940s i would have had such a thing for gene tierney

Ghostbusters (1984) - unpopular opinion: bill murray is intolerable in this, the soundtrack and loml annie potts are bomb tho

Notes on a Scandal (2006) - dame judi dench is a fucking terrifying old lady lesbian but i too am jealous of the 16 year old boy who got to repeatedly make out with cate blanchett

Pride (2014) - you may think that unions and gays don't have anything in common but we both fucking hate magaret thatcher, more people should talk about this film it's delightful

Rebecca (1940) - wow this movie was real fucking gay and also the poster child for shitty hays code mandated representation

Cleopatra (1963) - breathtakingly problematic but also epic in all senses of the word, i get why it’s 4 hours

Lawrence of Arabia (1962) - a lot of white savior nonsense and not a fucking woman in sight but it is visually stunning, didn’t have to be 4 hours

The Two Mrs. Carrolls (1947) - this was like some crazy vintage criminal minds shit, barbara stanwyck deserved to shoot a man

Sylvia Scarlett (1935) - mourning the end of pride month with some vintage drag, the american public was not ready for the confusing sexual feelings katharine hepburn stirred in them

The Philadelphia Story (1940) - almost 80 years later and this is still a genuinely hilarious romcom with an incredible cast really doing the most cannot recommend it enough

Moonstruck (1987) - i started out on the fence but ended up being super here for 40 year old cher looking phenomenal, winning an oscar, and having a 22 year old boy toy even if that boy toy is nicholas cage with an italian accent and a wooden hand

Blue Jasmine (2013) - i can’t believe woody allen was so close to me and i didn’t even fight him, i enjoyed this only because cate was so incredible but it’s basically just a streetcar named desire if tennessee williams was absolutely devoid of all sympathy for women
