#WhereAreTheChildren
Make no mistake, this issue is the results of OBAMA'S policies. HHS has inherited a problem that's been occurring for years. I wrote about it 4 YEARS AGO and NO ONE expressed any outrage during the last administration. #WhereWereTheLiberals
"Over a period of four months in 2014, however, HHS allegedly placed a number of UACs in the hands of a ring of human traffickers who forced them to work on egg farms in and around Marion, Ohio, leading to a federal criminal
indictment."
"Specifically, the files reveal that, from June through September 2014, HHS placed a number with alleged distant relatives or family friends—including one of the defendants in the criminal case—without taking sufficient steps to ensure that the
placements would be safe..."
"HHS failed to run background checks on the adults in the sponsors’ households as well as secondary caregivers, failed to visit any of the sponsors’ homes; and failed to realize that a group of sponsors was accumulating multiple unrelated children."
"In August 2014, HHS permitted a sponsor to block a child-welfare case worker from visiting with one of the victims, even after the case
worker discovered the child was not living at the address on file with HHS..."
"The Subcommittee sought to determine whether the Marion placements were
caused by a tragic series of missteps or more systemic deficiencies in HHS’s UAC
placement process. Based on that investigation, the Subcommittee concludes that HHS’s policies and procedures are..."
"inadequate to protect the children in the agency’s care."
"HHS’s process for verifying the alleged relationship between a
UAC and an individual other than a parent, guardian, or close family member is unreliable and vulnerable to abuse."
"After a child’s release to a sponsor, HHS allows sponsors to refuse
post-release services offered to the child—and even to bar contact between the child and an HHS care provider attempting to provide those services."
"Many UACs fail to appear at immigration proceedings."
In 2008, about 8,000 UACs came to the US. In 2014, it was 69,000.
"The causes of the surge of UACs are disputed, but all stakeholders, including HHS, agree that one reason UACs come to this country is that they are “brought into the United States by human trafficking rings.”
So again I have to ask... Why NOW the sudden outrage on behalf of the Left? #WhereWereTheLiberals
It is worth noting that during the Obama administration, 76% of Unaccompanied Minors (UACs) who came into the US illegally were boys ages 13-17. The Left wants you to envision helpless little babies lost in the US but that is pure propaganda.
Here's Senator @tedcruz calling for #HHS to take better care of UAC's way back in APRIL 2015.
"The answer alleges that on January 29, when her car was towed, Ms. Okoumou
berated the tow truck operator with “racial and inappropriate remarks.” Ms. Okoumou allegedly
chased the tow truck as the operator drove away with her car, yelled at him, ran up to the tow
truck..."
"attempted to remove the keys from the truck’s ignition, and jumped on the back of the tow
truck, despite the operator’s warning that if she did not desist, he would call the police. Ms.
Okoumou allegedly got into her vehicle while it was on the truck..."
"Most of the children that started coming across the border 3 or 4 years ago were alone or with smugglers that worked double duty with the cartels. The adults that were with them often lied and said they were the parents which was not true."
"Even the children that were with their parents or parent were often times in dangerous situations. These children were separated back then and are still separated to this day. "
"Illegal immigrants are kidnapping children and bringing them across the border, hoping to appear to be families so they can take advantage of lax enforcement policies, the OBAMA administration told a federal appeals court ... washingtontimes.com/news/2016/jun/…
Leon Fresco, a deputy assistant attorney general who handles immigration cases, made the stunning claim as he defended the administration’s policy of detaining illegal immigrant parents and children caught traveling together as they jump the border...
After a federal judge last year ordered the families quickly released, Mr. Fresco said it’s served as an enticement for kidnapping.
'When people now know that when I come as a family unit, I won’t be apprehended and detained — we now have people being abducted...
THIS is why it is necessary to separate adults from the children they bring to our border. Yes, it sucks, but we have to ensure that the children aren't being trafficked here. Unfortunately it's... theguardian.com/world/2010/jan…
Unfortunately it's a necessary evil because a MUCH GREATER EVIL is at work.
"The teenager tells of a cross-border trade in babies and young children, where Mexican and US gangs worked together to supply a demand in the United States..."
They stole the children,' she said. 'One of the gang members took a six-year-old kid. I had to look after him for three hours. He told me he wanted to see his mummy. Then I started crying. I said: 'I don't think you're ever going to see your mummy again...'
