14/ Also, three years ago today I sat across from my attacker at his dining room table drinking shitty coffee he insisted I try. I was terrified, awaited conversational lull so I could leave without raising his suspicions/angering him #MeTooPhd #MeToo #MeTooSocSci #MeTooSociology

15/ As if rape wasn’t dehumanizing enough, he scoffed at me and my research, tried to make me feel incompetent, insinuated I didn’t get sociological methods or the MA Paper project I’d been working on for two years #MeTooPhd #MeToo #MeTooSocSci #MeTooSociology

16/ I didn’t cry at the table with him, but I cried on the way home, at home, in the shower, curled up in a ball on the floor. Cried because I was raped and because I didn’t think anyone would believe me #MeTooPhd #MeToo #MeTooSocSci #MeTooSociology

17/ In spite of what he did to me in May 2015, I’m still here (at least for now). You may not see me at many dept events, working groups, conferences, etc. You may not see me at all.
