.Every day in twitterverse I watch straight young white people who identify as "progressive" demean and diminish the lives of the marginalized & insist that WE need to recognize that "economic security" is the #1 issue all liberals need to focus on which will then solve all. (1)

.I watch them speak from their lofty privilege not realizing that they are standing on a platform built by the very people they demean. Their lack of gratitude for the work of these before them blows my mind. Their robotic devotion to an establishment man with minimal (2)

.accomplishments in his career is staggering. What saves me from despair is the ongoing work of POC and LGBTQ activists and allies who continue to engage the #racist & #homophobic #misogynist #transphobic "sleeping" people. Huge credit to all of you doing this work (3)

.advocate for MY people, and the utter horror of his murder by Dan the twinkee killer White. I know that @SenFeinstein stuck her finger in the bullet hole to try to keep him alive until help came to him. I remember the dangers of the Tenderloin and Folsom street to gay and (7)

.#transgender people, and one night on my motorcycle picking up a terrified woman at 3 am who was running down the street screaming she was being attacked as a white man was chasing her. I remember tearing down a barricade to be one of the first Dykes On Bikes in the Pride (8)

.march because the committee didn't think we should be allowed. I remember countless miles of marches and demonstrations demanding equality and equal, not special, rights. I remember standing in handcuffs outside a gay bar after cops were called to break up a fight and (9)

."rigging" that all POC live with every freaking day. That equal rights for all the disadvantaged is and should be the message of every liberal faction. So when you tell me Democrats and Republicans are the same I'm going to assume you're lazy or too biased to bother to look (13)
