Worse still: VJ didn't even go to Stanford, never stepped foot on the campus, certainly didn't graduate.

...Valerie Bowman, however, graduated from Stanford in 1977. She then went on to marry William Jarrett in 1983, taking his name. /1
So here's the real conspiracy: how long has Stanford had a time machine?! Why did they travel to the future to find out what her last name would be & to get a photo of her, age 60, for the yearbook instead of using a photo of her, aged 19, her age at her 1977 graduation?! /2
Anyway, in all seriousness: VJ was born in Iran, and spent 5 years there, before returning to America with her parents. Neither she, nor her parents, ever practiced Islam (unless she was secretly radicalized before age 5, so that one day, she could "make America more Muslim".) /3
She was born in Iran (while her father worked at a hospital as part of an American program for developing countries) to two American parents, both of whom were African American. In fact, her Grandfather was the first accredited African American Architect in the US. /4
Racists have long tried to dehumanize African Americans by comparing them to animals, to justify slavery/racism/etc.

Institutionalized racism against minorities is still alive & well in America (see: people parroting false narratives to justify #Roseanne 's racism, for one)./5
So if you acknowledge facts published in her online bios long before she was in government, what is the real issue here? Can anyone tell me what their problem is with VJ? Or this all just blind defence of right wing talking points, even though they're clearly untrue? /end
Please unroll, so I can copy/paste thread when others (many, supposed "Christians") use this photoshopped garbage to justify their hatred/racism.

At the expense of another human being.

Because for them, politics now trump empathy, facts & basic humanity.🇺🇸

Since you asked me to explain the difference, I will; I remain hopeful that people will face facts with courage; especially when they're wrong.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you're not knowingly spreading racist propaganda & will respond in good faith... /1

So we've now established that she is a black American, living in America.

Comparing a black person to a monkey is literally a traditional racist trope in America. Did you not know this? Hard to believe, but just in case, see attached article. /3
