When it comes to religion and god, people often mistake the whole arrangement as some magical experience, but in reality symbolism in religions is backed up by modern science. Hinduism has 330 million gods. Lord Shiva, is the most prominent gods of Hindu pantheon.
Lord Shiva is also worshiped in the form of Shiva Lingam which again is a symbolic representation of the Trimurti (the creator, the preserver, and the destroyer).
Curated below are some scientific facts about Lord Shiva.
1) Shiva's Snake & Vishuddhi Chakra Connection:
Snake is very sensitive to certain energies. Shiva has the snake around his throat. It's not just symbolic. There is a whole lot of science behind it. There are 114 chakras in the energy body.
Out of these 114, there are 7 fundamental chakras in the system. Among these, vishuddhi chakra is located in the pit of your throat. Its strongly associated with the snake. The vishuddhi is abt stopping poison, and snake carries poison. All these are connected.
Vishuddhi literally means filter. If your vishuddhi becomes powerful, you have the ability to filter everything that enters you. Shiva’s center is vishuddhi. He's also known as Vishakantha bcos he filters all the poison. He doesn’t allow it to enter his system.
Poisons are not necessarily that which you may consume through food. Poisons can enter you in so many ways: a wrong thought, a wrong emotion, a wrong idea, a wrong energy or a wrong impulse can poison your life. If your vishuddhi is active, it filters everything.
It saves you from all these influences. In other words, once vishuddhi is very active, that person is so powerful within himself that whatever is around him does not influence him anymore. He is established within himself. He tends to become a very powerful being.
2) Hidden Science Behind The Shiva's Crescent:
Shiva uses moon as a decoration because he's a great yogi who's intoxicated all the time, but he sits in great alertness. To enjoy the intoxication, you must be alert.
Even when you drink, you try to stay awake and enjoy the intoxication. And that is how yogis are – totally drunk, but fully alert. The science of yoga gives this pleasure to you to be internally drunk all the time, but one hundred percent stable and alert.
3) The Secrets Of Trishul:
Trishul represents the 3 fundamental aspects of life. These are the fundamental dimensions of life that are symbolized in many ways. They can also be called Ida, Pingala, Sushumna. There are 72,000 nadis that spring from these three.
Sushumna is most significant aspect of human physiology. Life begins when energies enter into Sushumna. You attain inner balance where, whatever happens outside, there's certain space within you that never gets disturbed and cannot b touched by outside situations.
4) Shiva's Drum Is Not Only A Musical Instrument:
Damru symbolizes the Universe which is always expanding and collapsing. From expansion it collapses and then re-expands, this is the process of creation.
5) Symbolism Of Nandi:
Nandi is symbolism of eternal waiting. Waiting is considered greatest virtue in Indian culture. Who knows how to simply sit and wait is naturally meditative. Nandi is not expecting Shiva to come out tmrw. He's just waiting. He'll wait forever.
That quality is essence of receptivity. Before u go into a temple, u must hav quality of Nandi, to sit. You're not trying to go to heaven,u are not trying to get this or that, u simply sit. Ppl have misunderstood meditation as some kind of activity. No it's a quality
Prayer means you are trying to talk to God. Meditation means you are willing to listen to God. You have nothing to say, you simply listen. That's the quality of Nandi, he just sits alert. This is very importantt. He's not sitting in a passive way. That's meditation.
6) Third Eye Of Shiva:
Shiva has always been referred to as Triambaka because he has a third eye. The third eye does not mean someone’s forehead cracked and something came out! It simply means another dimension of perception has opened up.
If your perception has to evolve and enhance itself, the most important thing is that your energy has to evolve and enhance itself.
The whole process of yoga is to evolve and refine your energies in such a way that your perception is enhanced and the third eye opens.
The third eye is the eye of vision. The two physical eyes are just sensory organs. This is why we say this world is Maya. Maya means it is illusory. It doesn't mean that existence is illusory. It means the way you are perceiving it is illusory.
So another eye, an eye of deeper penetration, has to be opened up. The third eye means your perception has gone beyond the dualities of life. You are able to see life just the way it is, not just the way that is necessary for your survival
7)Shiva Linga:
Shiva Linga is an aniconic image used to represent Lord Shiva. It indicates the formless aspect of Shiva. It says Lord Shiva is without a beginning and an end. Scriptures say Shivling is the origin and destination of the entire cosmos.
Lord Shiva is transcendent, limitless, formless, eternal, changing and unchanging! He is at once benevolent and invokes fear of the highest form. He symbolizes life after death or Moksha.
He is known by many names such as Mahadev, Neelkantha, Shiva, Shankar, Mahakaal, Shrikanth, Triolokesh, Gangadhar, Jatadhar, Visveshwar, Tripurantaka, Mrityunjaya, Sarveshwar, Sadashiva, etc. He has more than 108 names hence 108 has a huge significance in Hinduism.

S-400 - Highlights and the deal:
This’s an air defence system being procured by Indian Air Force from Russia in a Govt to Govt deal, like Rafale.
Deal size $5.4 billion i.e ₹40,000 crores; the biggest ever defence deal by India.
The S-400 Surface-to-Air missile can destroy targets (whether static or enemy’s missile/fighter jets) even 400 Km away.
Its radars can track flying objects from a distance of 1000 Km; even if the size of a football; means entire Pakistan under its detection range.
It’s Russia’s most advanced defence system. (inducted in 2007) better than America’s ‘Patriot’ or anything else in the world. Its killing speed is 5 km/sec; and the best thing about it is it can easily be transported anywhere, including war field, and can be deployed in 5m flat.

It is an ancient and historical city that is 5000 years old. It is famous for spiritual as well as scientific reasons. It is described as the best city in Adi Brahma Puran and it is called mokshda and bhukti-mukti in Agni Puran and Garuda Puran.
There was a time when this city had been a capital of a big empire. It has a glorious history. As per religious books this city has never seen destruction, for God of destruction Mahakaal himself resides here. It has a Jyotirling out of the 12, 2 Shakti Peeths, the Sacred Kumbh.
As per Garuda Puran there are 7 cities that can provide salvation but importance of Ujjain is a little more. It's believed that it has foot prints of Lord Vishnu. Lord Rama himself performed his father’s last rites after his death at Ujjain. That place is called ‘Ram Ghat’.

There's no uproar about admitting all women at all times into Sabarimala. People have taken it with great equanimity and dry humour that has so characterised Hindu culture for millennia now. Already memes and jokes have started doing the rounds on WhatsApp.
People of my generation feel depressed, anguished. People with political axes to grind are expressing rage or glee depending on their affiliations. Older generation like those of my parents feel that the Lord knows what is best and acts through human agencies or through Nature.
The biggest circus, the electronic media, is stirring up such a cockfight. People who have no stake in the issue except political, act up with anchors playing ringmasters and get paid for their appearance.

Since late 80s issue of corruption has been discussed in every living room, in trains amongst co passengers, in schools, colleges, as a fav topic of debate, discussion; Is Corruption a bigger menace than terrorism or Is corruption making the country hollow!
We discussed every form of corruption endlessly, quoting examples, as if it was all pervading ; as to how money is being hoarded under beds, almirahs, how traders are avoiding sales tax, how inter state borders where excise people collect taxes are a big source of corruption.
How hardly 2% population is paying taxes and rest generating black money, how builders are minting money and flouting rules, diverting money from one project to another and fooling the customers, how some having black money are buying BENAMI properties.

Ever wondered why is it that we worship Lord Ganesh first! According to the Ganapati Upanishad, he appeared even before the creation of nature (prakriti) and consciousness (purusha). This is an important link as to why he's is worshiped before beginning any task.
According to the yogic perspective, anything we do has to fall under one of the two categories: material or spiritual. It's believed that Lord Ganesh rules the 'muladhara chakra' of our body. 'Muladhara' is the interface between the material and the spiritual worlds.
He controls both these worlds. He gives us material enjoyments in this world and liberates us from endless cycle of birth and death. According to yogic principles, our material life and spiritual journey starts from the 'Muladhara' chakra which is controlled by him.
