Welcome to another #Audacious Sunday.
We've had a great time here in our past broadcast and today's session won't be an exception.

Before we continue on today's broadcast, let me quickly make the announcement that #Audacious will be TWO in the first Sunday in July. Watch out for plenty awareness about this.

Today, we will continue from where we stopped last Sunday.
The title of our broadcast today is RELATIONSHIP.

We were able to define relationship last time as "connection or association" It also means A way in which two or more people behave and are involved with each other. #Audacious

Relationship is a state involving mutual dealings between people or parties or countries.

Relationship is : the WAY in which two or more people, groups, countries, etc., talk to, behave toward, and deal with each other.

I hope you took note of the 'WAY' in the above definition.
If you say you are in a relationship with someone, there must be a way you go about your dealings. #Audacious

I went on to define Relationship as 'relating in the same ship', that is, to understand and like or have sympathy for someone or something.

For you to relate, you must have a common ground. In fact, you can have a relationship without a common ground. #Audacious

Now, there is a general believe that once you mention the word Relationship what comes to mind is man and a woman. It is not always so as relationship means having connections with someone or something and it doesn't have to be sexual. #Audacious

Today, I will briefly speak about relationship with your boss at work.

What exist between you and your boss is simply official and it demands every aura of officiality. The work place has its own etiquette. #Audacious

What your workplace need from you is a cordial relationship, cohabiting with everyone without ambiguity, living with absolute love and care for everyone without exception and with no strings attached. #Audacious

Your employer requires your total loyalty. Once you know you can no longer give total loyalty to the organization, rather than causing unnecessary scenario, just take a walk, you will always get another job. #Audacious

Perhaps you realize that what the company is doing is against your values and therefore you cannot give continuous loyalty, it is better you quit because, if you are still there, your loyalty will be required. #Audacious

Your organization require that you work well with other employees for maximum profit to the organization. You can't say you have personal issues with a colleague at work and because of that destroy the smooth operation of the organization. #Audacious

When you get to an organization, you will see the Vision and Mission Statements, you will see their core values or what they believe in whether written or in the behavioural operations. Your boss wants you to align with all these. That is the relationship he/she want #Audacious

No matter how young your employer is, he/she still have something over your life, be respectful!
Whether you like it or yes, your boss help pay your bills by paying your salary, if you disrespect him, you might be rendering yourself helpless. #Audacious

The fact that your boss is unassuming, jovial, he relates well, come down to your level, flows well with you does not mean you should lose your manners. He was doing all that to make you enjoy working for him, don't overstep your boundaries. Don't take him for granted #Audacious

For you not to overdo, that's why most bosses lord over their employees. It is just a way to check them.
If you want to be loose, get to your friends. Listen! YOUR BOSS IS NOT YOUR FRIEND.

Even if you are friends and he just happen to employ you, at work, he is your boss, he takes business decisions there, you can't afford to be loose. He possess the right to terminate your appointment. #Audacious

Finally, when your boss was employing you, he/she wasn't employing a spouse, he/she employed you to come and do a particular duty at the office, face your work and stop seducing your boss. #Audacious

Your boss have mouth, he/she knows what is good. If you are needed in their life, they'll communicate it to you in a mature way. Your first duty in that office is to do the work for which you are paid your salary, stop messing with your boss, let your relationship be official

In a nutshell, in your relationship with your boss at work ,you must be
I. Respectful
II. Bridle your tongue and character (you can't afford to be loose with your boss just because he relates well with you or hangs with you)
III. Avoid romantic or sexual advances

Relationship is everything!
You can't become anything without relationships. Like I said, the money you are looking for is in the hands of another person, you have to relate well with such to get the money.

No matter how good you are at your job, if you have relational issues at work, you're going to have to go do your work by yourself at home.
Develop your relational skills, it matters.
