..impose now as AMA policy some albeit wise and other very unwise restrictions on #2A rights of American gun owners. More sadly missing from this convo in the House of Medicine today was actual health issues related to mass violence that should be in the domain of medicine.. /2
The majority elected to fuel emotional populist anti- #2A politics with no scientific evidence based data which I thought we are trained to require. We spent little to no time today on more germane issues for the House of Medicine related to mass-violence deaths like: /3
1- Educating Americans on obvious psychopathology indicators of imminently dangerous sociopaths
2-Access to and fostering a national climate and culture where psychiatric care is more readily accessed more early on. /4

3- Cultural impact of violent games, violent extreme online videos, and suicide glorification
4- Securing, limiting entrances to our schools, and providing better security
5- Holding police, security accountable to all warning signs of “known wolves” which are often missed. /5

Lastly, sadly due to the parliamentary choreography orchestrated by a large cohort of activist students and other activists the process of debate was less than balanced for those of us in the +/- 25% minority (End) /6
