It was great to welcome the #gdTcells community to this exciting conference #gd2018 in #Bordeaux, and catch up with so many friends, collaborators and researchers in the field.
I would have preferred to have more time for everyone - but with almost 300 delegates, 160 abstracts submitted, and all the smaller and larger details that required our attention there would probably never have been sufficient time!

I enjoyed it immensely to be part of this adventure but I can't thank the people on the ground enough – the scientific committee, our plenary speakers, the session chairs, and the oral and poster judges who all played a pivotal role in running the show.

And above all the tireless efforts, the enthusiasm and the dedication of Julie, Maria and the local team @immunoconcept and Sud Congrès!

Special thanks to all the inspiring junior and senior researchers who presented their fascinating findings orally and on posters – you are the real reason why we organised this conference!

Last not least I’m grateful for the impressive support from our sponsors without whom we would not have been able to host such an enjoyable meeting.

The #gdTcells conferences have always been special meetings for me because of their friendly atmosphere, the exciting science, the lovely locations, and the strong social and professional contacts I have managed to establish since my first attendance in La Jolla 2006.

Being involved in organising the conference in Bordeaux 2018 has been a true privilege, and I will keep many nice memories from this unique experience.
