The Trump administration has selected Tornillo, TX for its "tent cities" to detain children arrested at the border & separated from their parents.

During the summer, Tornillo reaches the high 90s F, with heat indices in the mid-to-upper 100s F.

Tourism is a $1.5 billion-a-year industry in El Paso County, with over 2.3 million visitors.

It would be a shame if Tornillo, TX's participation in Trump's "tent city" (read: prison) for kids cost it some of that bu$ine$$.

For all the right-wing fear-mongering, the #1 victims of border-crossing are... border-crossers.

412 migrants died just in 2017, mostly due to causes like heat exhaustion, exposure, and drowning.

Exposing detained children to the same risks is cruel.

I don't directly engage trolls, but here is a response to the concern-trolling over sex trafficking*: migrants have been sexually assaulted in ICE centers.

(*A fair point, if only trolls were sincere. Border-crossers are the #1 victims of border crimes.)
