A lot has been said but none of these can invalidate the fact that the @bukolasaraki led 8th assembly is the most productive National Assembly since our return to Democracy in 1999, let me highlight a few of their accomplishments to buttress my assertion. ISSA THREAD !
1: In 2016, the @BukolaSaraki led 8th @NGRSenate initiated the first-ever National Assembly Joint Public Hearing on the budget. The 3-day Public Hearing was to give the public an opportunity to weigh-in on the Appropriations Bill.
2: To make the budget process more transparent, for the first time since 1999, the @bukolasaraki les 8th @NGRSenate laid the national budget together with its details when it passed the 2017 Appropriations Bill.
3: In 2017, two years before the election, the @NGRSenate passed the most comprehensive electoral reform Bill in the country which is aimed at creating more transparency, efficiency and accountability in Nigeria’s electoral process.
4: The @bukolasaraki led 8th @NGRSenate broke the PIB Jinx by passing the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill. It has now conducted the Public Hearing of three other part of the PIB: the Fiscal Bill, the Host Communities Bill and the Administrative Bill.
5: The @bukolasaraki led 8th @NGRSenate passed a ‘Made in Nigeria’ amendment to the Public Procurement Act to give Nigerian businesses an edge over their foreign counterparts in the government’s procurement process.

7: With the passage of the re-enactment of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, the @bukolasaraki les 8th @NGRSenate passed the biggest business reform Bill in Nigeria.
This Bill will reduce the cost of opening and operating businesses in the country!
8: With the passage of the #NotTooYoungToRun Bill, the @bukolasaraki led 8th @NGRSenate has ensured that more young Nigerians can now actively participate in politics and governance!
9: The @bukolasaraki led 8th @NGRSenate has passed 5 Anti-Corruption Bills that are aimed at ensuring that Nigeria's institutions and public office holders are more transparent and accountable to the people.
The 5 Anti-Corruption Bills passed by the 8th Senate are: the Whistleblower Bill; the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit Bill; the Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Bill; the Witness Protection Bill; and the Federal Audit Services Commission Bill.
10: The @bukolasaraki led 8th @NGRSenate passed a clause in the 2018 Appropriation Bill that will ensure that 1% of the CRF is used to establish a Basic Healthcare Fund. This will provide access to primary healthcare for ALL 180million Nigerians!
11: In May 2018, the 8th @NGRSenate's and Senate President @bukolasaraki's intervention led to the suspension of the six-week JOHESU strike that shut down government owned healthcare facilities across the nation.
12: In 2016, the 8th @NGRSenate passed the Sexual Harassment in Tertiary Education Institution (Prohibition) Bill to curb the rising rates of sexual harassment and abuse of students in our institutions of learning.
13: In 2016, the @bukolasaraki led 8th @NGRSenate passed the North East Development Commission  Act which establishes a commission tasked with the rebuilding and rehabilitating the North East and resettling the millions of IDPs across the nation.
14: In 2016, the @bukolasaraki led 8th @NGRSenate stopped the planned data price hike by telecommunications companies by directing the the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) to immediately suspend any planned increase in data prices.
15: Due to the 'Access to Credit' Bills passed by the @bukolasaraki led 8th @NGRSenate (which have been signed into law), in October 2017, the World Bank rated Nigeria among the top 10 most improved economies in its 2016/2017 Doing Business Report.
16: Due to the Compulsory Treatment and Care for Victims of Gunshots Act passed by the 8th @NGRSenate, all Nigerians with gunshot wound will now be able to receive immediate medical treatment instead of having to file police reports first.
While the Legislative arm of Nigerian government led by @bukolasaraki has been doing what they were elected to do, the executive arm led by President @MBuhari keep giving excuses for doing nothing and blaming former President @GEJonathan for all their failures.

You may choose your Title: “The Cluelessness of the Buhari Government ?” or “The Omnipotence of Bukola Saraki ?”

Issa THREAD !
Fresh facts have emerged about the Tuesday, August 7th failed coup at the National Assembly and the clandestine attempts by the Buhari administration to cover up a story that played out in the full view of the nation, both online and on social media.
Before i begin, it is important to note that the angle being peddled by aides of President Buhari, led by his PA on Social Media, @Laurestar, is that Bukola Saraki, planned the siege on the National Assembly with the former Director of DSS, Lawal Daura, to avert his removal.

25 Sins President @mBuhari Has Committed Against Nigeria’s Democracy:

THREAD!
It is tempting to say it’s a Dog eat Dog World and move on but this affects us all fundamentally. The APC Presidency has been one of the most oppressive and dictatorial government in Nigeria, despite the fact that we claim to be in a democracy
What’s even worse, is the Presidency’s disregard for parliament which sets a dangerous precedent for the future. Today, our country is a model of “How Democracies Die”.

FLASH: There is an ongoing anti-Saraki protest at the National Assembly, people were seen carrying different anti Saraki placards. Two of the protesters were interviewed, and they disclosed that they were mobilize to the venue by some persons who promised to pay them ₦1,500 each
Look at them, these people were mobilized with btw ₦1k and ₦2k to protest against @bukolasaraki, instead of staying on the issues at hand and finding solution, they are hounding Saraki who is speaking on the issues. While they keep telling Nigerians to Pray.
This beautifully branded car was also spotted, I don't think we need to ask further questions before we know who the sponsors of the protest are, and their intentions. This is the madness some unfortunate people on Twitter defend daily.
