It seems that every minute we learn some new horrific detail about the conditions with which people are being held on our borders simply for trying to find a better life. Families are being ripped apart and held in what amounts to prisons and detention camps. #NY23 (1/)

Children with disabilities are being taken from their parents. Recordings are surfacing of children crying out for their parents and parents have no way to find their children. Last night we learned that babies and toddlers are being held in "tender age" shelters. #NY23 (2/)

Thousands of people have escaped poverty and violence to come to this country, only to find worse conditions than what they were fleeing. Let me be clear, the "Zero Tolerance Policy" must end now.

Many of you have called Tom Reed's office to demand action and in response, he released a statement providing no path forward and, as usual, he laid the blame on others. He won't take action, but we must. Here are four things you can do: #NY23 (4/)

1. Keep calling him. There are bills in the Senate (S. 3036) and House that would end family separation. But also demand movement on immigration reform that treats those seeking to enter the United States with the dignity they deserve. #NY23 (5/)
