Blowing up the engine test stand is ok. Blowing up all the facilities including the gantry tower is way better. #sohae #dprk
Like Punggye-ri, this just means they don’t think thy have to test new designs. Except it’s even easier to build a test stand for a missile engine. #dprk
It doesn’t mean that they can’t make more of@them same icbm engines. #dprk
And it really doesn’t mean that DPRK won’t keep testing solid fuel motors for the Pukguksong 2 missile #dprk.
I am at a kid swimming lesson. Sorry for the typos.

Also, antibiotics probably both caused and saved him from the infection.

@DaveSchmerler geolocated the site long ago using internal ground photos. 2/ cnbc.com/2017/02/07/new…
@DaveSchmerler @ArmsControlWonk reviewed over 40 @planetlabs images of the site, and I even purchased a few more to see if there was any day when something "proved" ICBMs were under construction. 3/

Dismantling the engine test stand is a good move, but about the bare minimum that can be done at the site. 1/
The movable structure over the rail line at the launch pad is interesting. Speaking earlier with @DaveSchmerler, it feels more like a move towards verification/ confidence building. 2/
But, unless they dismantle the whole site, it will remain it will remain North Korea’s premier location for space launches. /3

Ok, this is a critical moment. 1/
Kim Jong Un wants a lot.
- security guarantees which probably include written assurances, no new threats, end of joint exercises, troop withdrawal, BMD withdrawal, end of “US nuclear threat.” 2/
Kim Jong Un wants a lot.
- Economic guarantees which probably include sanctions relief, business investment, tourists to fill up the resorts they are already building. 3/

Amazing 1/
The commitment to end nuclear testing, shut down Punggye-ri, and end ICBM test is a remarkable pledge, but there are a few notes 2/
This echos what Kim Jong Un has already said about it's nuclear program. KJU is satisfied 3/
