Fayose's decision to borrow 56 billion with a fresh application of another N25 billion in 2017, without any significant socio-economic impact puts @GovAyoFayose's understanding of governance & economics in question. And also confirms his lack of transparency. /1

#Fayose @Ayourb
With low jobs growth, no wage growth, no industrial development, no investment in agric & no socio-economic plan, where does future govt revenue come from? @GovAyoFayose has presided over the worst govt ever to drive up #Ekiti State's debt without a plan to fix the economy. /2
Contrary to the lies by @OlayinkaLere & @GovAyoFayose, the first 30billion in this chart is an accumulation of accrued debt b4 & during @kfayemi's tenure. He ensured that 14.5b was paid out of the 25b loan before he left office. By Oct 2014, #Ekiti debt profile was 10.5b. /3
Early in @GovAyoFayose's govt, Fayose knew that he wanted to take Ekiti debt profile to a record of 84 billion, so he lied about the debt profile under @kfayemi. /4

Moreover, when @GovAyoFayose assumed office, #Ekiti debt profile soared frm N18b to N74b. According to @DMONigeria, Fayose has borrowed a total of N56 billion since coming to power on October 16, 2014. While he still had a fresh application of another N25 billion in 2017. /5
What economic impact or progress has been made with the 56 billion in 3yrs in Ekiti? @GovAyoFayose has failed to declare what socio-economic programs have been executed with the funds accrued to the govt under his Leadership! Ask questions for the interest/progress #Ekiti. /6
With the huge amount of money borrowed & the billions of refunds @GovAyoFayose received frm the Fed govt & multilateral corporations, one will expect that the welfare of workers and teachers in the state would have improved significantly. However, reverse is the case /7

#Facts
Fayose’s administration has refused to pay the salaries of teachers & state civil servants for 6 months, local government workers for 7 months, pensioners for 14 months and #Ekiti State University subventions for 6 months. /8

Yet, @GovAyoFayose sacked 1000 youths that were employed under EKSTMA while he stopped the payment of monthly allowance for Peace Corps in the state. Over 5,000 youths that were employed under these schemes were paid N20,000 monthly during @kfayemi's tenure /16

Yet, @GovAyoFayose neglected Ikogosi resort centre & stopped the funding of Ire Burnt Bricks. The resort centre & industry contributed to the 400% increase in #Ekiti IGR under @kfayemi. However, both are in dismal condition under #Fayose's govt. /17

Unlike the charlatan - @GovAyoFayose that cannot outline any socio-economic impact of his N56b loan & new application for N25b loan, @kfayemi's govt ensured that their loan (25b with 14.5b paid) facilitated Economic development & democratic consolidation in #Ekiti. /19

The loan complemented @kfayemi's efforts that ensured free education for primary and secondary school students while he paid WASSCE & NABTEB registration fees for secondary students in the state... /20

...They achieved both the largest productivity (yield/Ha) and cultivation in Nigeria. As at 2014, Ekiti State yield under @kfayemi was at 15T/Ha which was above national average of 12T/Ha. However, when @GovAyoFayose assumed office, this scheme was cancelled. /24

On Infrastructural development, @kfayemi was able to construct/rehabilitate 902 federal, state & LGA roads. Each 16 LGAs constructed 5km of road every year for four years, and the state govt constructed about 1200km of roads between 2010 and 2014. /25

#Factsonly #Fayemi #Ekiti
.... I should add that Ekiti State had arguably the best road network in Nigeria.

Also, 100 transformers were distributed to communities and N600 million were given to 176 communities to execute different projects. /26

#Ekiti #Fayemi #FactsOnly
#Fayemi’s tenure witnessed an increase in the state’s IGR by more than 400%, from N140 million in 2011 to N600 million in 2014. However, since @GovAyoFayose assumed office, #Ekiti State IGR has remained undisclosed. /27

On tourism and industrial development, the loan allowed @kfayemi to reconstruct Ikogosi warm spring that was basically “a bush” into one of the most glamorous holiday places & resort centre in Nigeria at a cost of N1.5 billion. However, this is not the case anymore. /28

#Ekiti
The once revered resort centre has turned into a laughing stock due to negligence & lack of funding by Fayose. It is however unsurprising because the same tourist centre was ransacked by @OfficialPDPNig & @GovAyoFayose btwn 2003 and 2007. /29

#Factsonly @DeeOneAyekooto #Ekiti
Fayemi was also able to revive the Ire Burnt Brick that was neglected by his predecessors. This industry was functioning until @GovAyoFayose came on board. /30

The loan helped @kfayemi to provide free health and social security, he built new general hospital in Ado-Ekiti. He also built Cancer Diagnosis Centre in honour of Mrs Funmilayo Olayinka, the late former Deputy Governor of the State.... /31
