Panicked people do not make rational decisions. Trump’s go to move of stoking fear of other is entirely intentional.
It is not just Hitler who has used this. Radicalized Evangelicals have been using the fear response in our country for generations. They condition people to fear divine retribution, both to control behavior, and to shape government policy. #EmptyThePews
There is a reason why our forefathers wrote the First Amendment, they had already lived through the consequences of not having it. We are currently living through the consequences of having it attached.
We cannot give up. Our country is depending on us to keep defending it. Please find 12 minutes or so for this Speech given by Winston Churchill in 1940, and remind yourself that terrible odds have been overcome before.
