Shock? I thot our press was better than they've turned out 2b. I also think it's lack of any formal system 2 hold pundits, media & journalists accountable 4 still practicing "High Broderism" or "The Center is Me-Brooksism" It's not the treason they don't see, tho they don't. 3/

It's not the collusion, corruption, or foreign interference in our elections that they don't see, tho most don't see it either. It's something far simpler. They don't see that an entire political party, or the ppl it represents, have abandoned their duty to OUR DEMOCRACY. 4/

#GOP no longer believes in it or serves it. I keep hitting my head on hard things bc I can't believe they don't see the treason, but I'm realizing they can't even register our ALREADY almost LOST DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC, nor the fact that it has happened on their collective watch 5/

This came incrementally & started long ago, of course, but it made me think of the quote by Cicero that used to make me think of Dump but now I see it more meaningfully reflecting #GOP & our press as the gatekeepers who MISSED the anti-democratic traitors in our midst. 7/

They have been "heard in the halls of government" & aided by increasingly weaponized RWNJ propaganda from multiple platforms. I already knew this but I see it somehow so much more clearly. #GOP gave up on DEMOCRACY bc it wasn't a viable system in which to push their agenda. 8/

We've been at the mercy of #GOP treason for a long time, which I knew, but didn't realize how just how much each year that treason grew, & ALL w/o a sustained investigation, framing & reporting from MSM. Their dereliction to connect dots for us 9/

& inform us on the slow motion coup, which did NOT start w/ t.rump is crystal clear to me. Treason from within shouldn't have taken a stolen election to notice. Nonetheless, we are now poised 2 keep our Democracy or let it fall 2 #AmericanFascism based on voter turnout. 10/

& keeping it will, w/o question, require the COMPLETE dismantling of #GOP. So, all you milquetoast pundits, journalists, editors, producers etc. who wanna tsk tsk be 'civil' & soft-core enable the establishment of #AmericanFacsism: YOU are the ones who HAVE BEEN & CONTINUE 2b 11/

a MASSIVE CONTRIBUTOR & ENABLER just like the Press in WWII YOU are the ones who don't understand your 'mildly' enabling positions are what's ultimately keeping our DEMOCRACY in danger, by keeping our electorate UNINFORMED. 12/
