Thread time. I've seen people say it is hard to be proud this 4th of July due to the current administration, but I think that's bullshit. Here's why I’m proud as hell:
2. This awe-inspiring moment that made me look to the stars thanks to @SpaceX when the dual boosters landed in unison
3. Social Media taking a turn for the positive with creators like @tyleroakley who spreads awareness with his Chosen Family series.
4. American athletes like @adaripp who shed every convention and tell you without any equivocation that it is okay to be exactly who you are. time.com/collection/mos…
5. The fact that a man of iron will is handling the Trump investigation with absolutely no leaks at all. vox.com/2018/4/4/17197…
6. This incredible woman @pwcdanica who was elected to her state legislature as a trans woman running against the author of the discriminatory bathroom bill.
10. Every neighbor that says hello. Every commenter online that shares a moment. Every bus driver and stranger and fellow community member who make our lives richer every day.
TL;DR: America is facing some serious challenges, but there sure as hell are incredible reasons we can all be proud. Have an amazing holiday week everyone.
