ICE is training its deportation officers in the use of M4 assault rifles, “chemical agents”, stun grenades, and flash bangs, according to federal procurement records I found.

“Sounds like they’re getting ready for war,” a retired ICE agent told me.

SCOOP: ICE just ordered 60 straitjacket-like, full-body restraints for "restraining detainees," docs I found show.

The device has been implicated in multiple fatalities and was only recently authorized for use by ICE. My latest @tytinvestigates:

The restraining device (called "The Wrap"—see pic below) was ordered by ICE Air Operations and is for "restraining detainees during removal operations," the docs say.

The device can also be "downsized to fit very small children," per manufacturer.

Dogs in the custody of the Department of Homeland Security enjoy nicer accommodations than undocumented children.

While undocumented detainees sleep in tin foil-colored space blankets, dogs sleep on “plush double-sided sheepskin bedding.”

SCOOP: A fmr top CIA interrogator is training ICE's deportation agents in interrogation methods, documents show.

He was hired *3 days* after the Trump admin authorized its policy of separating undocumented families caught crossing the border.

The fmr CIA interrogator training ICE served as the CIA's chief polygraph examiner for 10 years.

He was also CIA director William Casey's bodyguard.
The interrogator says he's training ICE in interview methods (rather than interrogations) because interrogation implies accusation.

However, the contract states the training is to target "terror suspects" - clearly accusation.

The money is going to a law firm that represents Trump's real estate empire.
