there's a great @PBS documentary on Dorothea Lange known for her photography of the Great Depression. She was hired by the government to photograph Japanese Internment camps that imprisoned 110K+ people - she was fired & her photographs were impounded
The photographers, filmmakers, reporters covering the news, and what the government is doing now are so essential #heroes
history repeats itself... and provides much needed perspective as well
I did this quick thread because history has so many terrible sad stories and so many beautiful joyous ones, and I need to continually remind myself to keep current events in perspective
Here are links to the documentary

💥Trump aide Rick Gates requested three proposals from Israeli intelligence firm Psy-Group to create fake online identities, to use social media manipulation & to gather intelligence, "Project Rome" used code names:

Trump: Lion
Clinton: Forest
Cruz: Bear

nytimes.com/2018/10/08/us/…
Gates heard about Psy-Group’s work at a March 2016 mtg w/George Birnbaum a Republican consultant with close ties to Israeli govt officials - Birnbaum was a protégé of Republican operative Arthur Finkelstein - In 1996 they worked on Netanyahu’s campaign
nytimes.com/2018/10/08/us/…
While the article says Zamel denies presenting the proposals or that they were pursued, there's still the matter of $2 million George Nader - who Erik Prince introduced to Don Jr. in 2016 - reportedly paid Psy-Group after the election

Off mic @ChuckGrassley and @SenFeinstein disagreed about the ending of the hearing, Feinstein said there should be a vote (on the amendment to have @FBI investigate allegations against Kavanaugh), Grassley said it's a 'gentlemans and ladies' agreement. Feinstein: "What?"
Flake indicated he would make the request with the Dems for the @FBI investigation, so now it remains to be seen if that happens
