here’s the #ThaiCaveRescue thread for today. the rescue was paused last night to resupply oxygen, but divers are said to be entering the cave again “soon.”
now we’re at the multilingual school that half of the boys attend, about to hear from staff and classmates.

one more ambulance drove by. not clear that any boys are in these ambulances though. if the divers went in after 9am, as we believe they did, they wouldn’t be out until tonight.

Chiang Rai governor Narongsak chastised some journalists for flying drones near the rescue site, which could obstruct rescue helicopters, and for “hacking” private frequencies to get info. He acknowledged that most press have followed the rules. #ThaiCaveRescue
He denied reports that six boys have been rescued and confirmed that the four who are free will be reunited with their families after being tested for infections. Some complained of hunger and asked pad krapao - basil chicken and rice.
doctors are being consulted about the possibility of the four boys being able to see their relatives through a glass barrier at the hospital.
no updates on the progress of today’s rescue operations, other than that they began at around 11am. if they proceed at the same pace as yesterday, at least one boy could be out in the next three or four hours.
after about 30 min of unconfirmed reports that a 5th boy was rescued from the cave, an ambulance drove by the press center, followed a few seconds later by a helicopter. 🚁🚑rescue still unconfirmed. #ThaiCaveRescue
