1. Ecuador wins compensation from Chevron for polluting.
2. Ecuador Supreme Court dismisses Chevron protest.
3. Ecuador govt dismisses Supreme Court judges.
4. Ecuador gets massive loans instead of Chevron compensation.
Chevron deliberately dumped 16 billon gallons of cancer-causing oil waste into #Ecuador rainforest waterways and abandoned 1,000 toxic waste pits. csrwire.com/press_releases…
Court ruled $19 billion liability, reduced to $12b. But Chevron no longer operates in #Ecuador, who therefore tried (unsuccessfully) to pursue the oil giant in foreign courts. Chevron has now counter sued: forbes.com/sites/michaelk…

Poveda said the letters "indicated precisely the concerns we have over withdrawal of nationality and asylum." So @Lenin Moreno is also planning to withdraw citizenship? He has to if he wants to legally evict #ASSANGE: #Ecuador's constitution protects citizens from extradition.
Poveda said #Assange's lawyers have been "keeping an eye on UK newspapers" and seeking to meet @Lenin Moreno "but at the moment there seems no possibility of doing so."

Their names were Omar, Mohammed and Ali Fadhil. Their blog was called Iraq The Model (inspired by Neocon claims that the Iraq invasion would become a model for US expansion in ME).
The blog was wildly popular with the pro-war crowd and heavily featured in US corporate media. The Fadhil brothers even got invited to meet President Bush in the White House (thanks to Paul Wolfowitz).
