SpaceX provides an update yesterday advising that their next launch- Iridium 7 will occur on 7/25/18 and will bring the total number of satellites to 65...

It says they are replacing “the existing constellation” 🤔

It’s supposed to be a network of 77 satellites, like the atomic number of Iridium (a metal alloy in the platinum family), which is one of the rarest metals on earth! Though strangely, has much higher concentrations in asteroids...

One of the uses for Iridium: TRACKING. They can track planes, helicopters, boats, cars, people, you name it with this technology... ANYWHERE in the world, even in areas that dont have radio coverage. Our govt and military use this network.

That is a good thing when used by the right people, especially in rescue situations...

BUT- This technology could be extremely dangerous if access to their network and intel fell into (or was sold by corrupt prior govt officials) to our enemies...
