Trump seems to think he came up with the idea of recording interviews to ensure accuracy.

"It's called, 'fake news,'" he says, referring to his attacks on May in his interview with @TheSun

Trump says he will "firmly" ask Putin about election meddling, & says this about nukes (direct quote): "It is just a devastating technology. And they likewise are doing a lot. And it's a very, very bad policy (?). We have no choice but we are massively big and they are very big."

Trump on immigration: "I think it's been very bad for Europe... you see the same terror attacks that I do... I just think it's changing the culture. I think it's very negative... I know it's politically not necessarily correct to say that, but I'll say it, and I'll say it loud."

Trump dismisses a question about whether he's doing Putin's bidding by bashing NATO allies as "dishonest reporting," bashes the reporter who asked it (@kwelkernbc) for working for NBC.

"We have been far tougher on Russia than anybody," Trump insists.

WOW -- Trump refuses to take question from @Acosta, bashes CNN as "fake news," then takes a question from Fox News, which he calls "a real network."

Trump blames Obama for Putin's illegal invasion of Ukraine, says "I think I would have a very good relationship with President Putin if we spent time together," but adds that "we're being hurt very badly by the rigged witch hunt." (aka, the Mueller investigation)

Trump on Crimea: "I want people to understand that Crimea was another bad hand. I got handed North Korea, we're doing very well... I'm looking at many other disasters I've taken over. I've taken over a lot of bad hands and I'm fixing them one by one."

He then takes credit for predicting Brexit, while bashing Obama for purportedly not foreseeing it.

Trump urges May to follow his advice and leave the EU immediately.

Asked about what he would like Putin to do in Syria, Trump immediately pivots to talking about .... [checks notes] .... nuclear weapons. That leads to Trump praising his uncle for being smart (the implication being he's smart too).

Pressed again on what he'd like Putin to do in Syria, Trump starts bashing Obama, and eventually gets around to praising himself.

The president is simply incapable of discussing foreign policy at any level of depth.

Trump simply makes stuff up about German energy usage, says "I've heard numbers of 70 percent of their energy coming in from Russia." (Germany gets about 25 percent of its natural gas from Germany.)

Trump also teased a bald reporter (@jeffmason1) for wearing a hat, and pressured him to take his hat off.

TRUMP attacks Democrats over Kavanaugh process: "The way they tortured him and his family, I thought it was a disgrace. It was one of the most disgraceful performances I've ever seen."

He then lies and says "there was no corroboration of any kind" for Dr Ford's accusation.

TRUMP: "I think a lot of Democrats are going to vote Republican because I have many friends that are Democrats. The main base of the Democrats have shifted so far left that we'll end up being Venezuela...I think a lot of Democrats are going to be voting Republican on Nov. 6."

COLLINS is using her speech to criticize opponents of Kavanaugh as "frenzied," "spreading outright falsehoods," and representing "special interest groups."

COLLINS: "The president has broad discretion to consider a nominee's philosophy, whereas my duty as a senator is to focus on the nominee's qualifications as long as that nominee's philosophy is within the mainstream."

It sure sounds like she is going to announce a yes vote.
