You have NO idea what we went through: the serious threats to our lives we received and the significant attacks on our personal and professional reputations we *continue* to endure.

We accomplished what we did in ISOLATION from ANY and ALL support: political, financial, emotional, etc.

We did it because - UNLIKE ALMOST EVERY JOURNALIST - we valued our COUNTRY AND DEMOCRACY over our own reputations.

And we are STILL targeted negatively for our achievements.

So, with all due respect to @pdx2ord and any other folks who want to chime in but whose necks were not on the highly visible chopping block, @andreachalupa and I deserve a day of WE F*CKING TOLD YOU SO.

I was targeted by the "left" and the "right" as a "liberal conspiracy theorist" for my efforts.

That coverage will exist on the internet forever. And it cost me my last job.

I was targeted by the Menchian faux "resistance" cabal and labeled an "asset" of the Kremlin as well.

Nonetheless, I continued this work because I prioritize trying to create a better world for our children over being seen as cool.

I am going to share something personal:

During #AuditTheVote, I did not have paid employment and was fighting an indescribable custody battle.

The risks I took choosing to prioritize this work and thereby making myself a target for public, high-profile derision were immense.

Nonetheless, I believed then and now that this fight to save democracy is critical for my daughter's future and for ALL of our children's future.

My name will likely not be featured in any history books, but I hope you will remember it when you tell your children our story.

In the end, we are all we have.

We are our greatest strength.
