@samjames67031 @resisterhood I think that’s what the Kennedy retirement is all about. They need the second SCOTUS seat, then they can go back to being the minority opposition, knowing the court will hold the conservative line for them for decades. They haven’t a clue how to govern and they know it.
@samjames67031 @resisterhood They need the Dems for that. They just want a court that keeps them ideologically in check. It doesn’t matter how many progressive laws we pass if the court strikes them down every time. Imo the plan now is to get the SCOTUS seat then hide behind Mueller and public opinion.
@samjames67031 @resisterhood They’ll tell their base they stayed with until the bitter end. They did all they could. In the end, he just made too many rookie mistakes. They’ll even use that as an excuse to go back to establishment politics and career politicians.
