After a long day of travel, it is a bit weird to be getting ready for a funeral while watching the World Cup final, but in a way, I need this. Sometimes you just need the pleasure of distraction. GO FRANCE, let's do this.

I had someone reply to this tweet telling me that Stephen Miller wrote that op-ed. My reaction? Kavanaugh's name is on it & while I know terrible people are orchestrating damage from the WH, they may well be gone in 2 yrs. Kavanaugh will not. /1.
During the first year of the Trump admin, I can't tell you how many people in my mentions referred to Steve Bannon as "President Bannon." Yet Bannon is now gone and the real president is still there -- abusing the citizenry & our democracy on a daily basis. /2.
Since 2015, Never Trumpers, w assistance from Dems desperate to make nice w Repubs, presented Trump as extraordinarily awful. Look, don't get me wrong - he IS. But so are those standpoint Repubs who lionize conservative values. Because they're united on conservative policy. /3.

Watch the president at a rally in Mississippi mock Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.Trump is a vile creature -but everyone should have known that since the Access Hollywood tapes.
I ran out of characters but that video in my previous tweet was via NBC News. I do try in all my tweeted videos to expressly state the source even if it is stamped as such. The only images I do not expressly credit are generic unsourced images.
Trump is vile but how about some real talk? The folks who are still showing up at his rallies where he denigrates vulnerable human beings -- and often cheer and clap in support -- are vile too. Hillary was kind when she called them deplorable.

Grassley is shameful. He begins by defending Kavanaugh: "Nowhere in any of these six FBI reports...was there a whiff of any issue, any issue at all, related in any way to inappropriate sexual behavior." Then he attacks Feinstein & Democrats. This is despicable.
Hey Iowa -- it is time to stop voting for Grassley. Have some fucking standards.
This is so wrenching. I can't believe Dr Ford has to go through this. She's extraordinarily brave.

Benign. That's what my doctor just called to tell me. I had a biopsy on Tuesday and I have been in a stressed state since then. I can't tell you the level of relief the word "benign" brought to me a few minutes ago. It was as if I could finally exhale. /1.
The mass that was biopsied was not detected visually or externally; it was detected via mammogram. Specifically, it was detected via routine breast cancer screening. FYI: Under the ACA/Obamacare, if you are over 40, you can get a free mammogram every 1 to 2 years, /2.
More than 40,000 women die from breast cancer every year. It's the second leading cause of women's death from cancer. But if you catch it early enough, there is a 98% chance you will survive. /3.
