During Cabinet meeting @POTUS called on @IvankaTrump sitting behind him to make a presentation. He asked press pool whether they wanted to stay or leave and allowed them to remain in the room.
"Wow. If that was Ivanka Smith the press would say she's incredibly brilliant," says @POTUS about @IvankaTrump presentation during Cabinet meeting.
"We have tremendous retribution" which US doesn't want to use, says @POTUS, mentioning July 25 #EU trade negotiating meeting at @WhiteHouse.

My colleague @masoodfarivar relays from source who was in room (with DAG when he made the comment): “I remember this meeting and remember the wire comment. The statement was sarcastic and was never discussed with any intention of recording a conversation with the president.”
