The third @WhiteHouse press room briefing of July is underway.
"He sees more and more every single day that this is proving to be a total witch hunt," says @PressSec of special counsel's probe.
"Ultimate goal is keeping nuclear weapons out of their hands," says @PressSec of US policy on #Iran.
"The president has been incredibly tough on Russia," @PressSec reiterates.
"I'm not sure why this is so hard for the media to write about."
-@POTUS s looking to revoke the security clearances of Brennan, Comey, Clapper, Rice and McCabe, according to @PressSec because they are "monetizing" them.
Only specific agreement made in #TrumpPutinSummit was that national security advisers from both countries would hold followup working-level meetings, says @PressSec.
On possible revoking security clearances: "As of right now we are the exploring the mechanism of those particular names," explains @PressSec.
Answering my question on why this administration just doesn't come out and openly advocate regime change in #Iran, @PressSec reiterates the goal is to ensure Tehran does not have any nuclear weapons.
Those from previous administrations still holding the highest level of security clearances "are making false accusations against the president of the United States," says @PressSec.
"The president met and consulted with all of his national security team" about his one-on-one meeting with #Russia President Putin, says @PressSec.
Today's briefing -- only the third this month -- had 14 minutes of Q&A.
