so first off, there are a ton of #aws events happening all around the world, all the time. i definitely try to make it to a lot of them! i am rich in frequent flyer miles πβοΈ
here's a rundown of a few of the different types:

π£οΈ an #AWSSummit is a 1-2 day event w/ multiple tracks of breakouts, a keynote + often workshops/labs/partner talks. summits are generally pretty big, + there should be something for almost everyone, at various skill levels and jobs. global list here: aws.amazon.com/summits
π©βπ» #AWSbuildersday + dev days are (afaik) the same thing. these are 1-day events that are more developer focused-usually multiple tracks of breakout sessions, + a lab/workshop. since these are more dev focused, they tend to have more advanced technical content and demos π οΈ
π¨βπ«there are also more specialized events: like #AWSstartupday (aws.amazon.com/startup-day/), which focus on startup resources, like VC panels + making the most of your funding π΅
ποΈthis also means more industry-tailored events like the enterprise + public sector summits!

there is also a ton of non-#aws run events: these are things like an #AWSusergroup or meetup, or even an AWS talk at a 3rd party event πββοΈ

depends on what you're looking to get out of it! do you want super technical demos or a chance to network? no one event is best-just different!
