@islingtongztte Picton had met the boy 10-12 months earlier while working at Conewood and during 1983 had tried to foster him but been refused by @IslingtonBC and the boy had been moved across the road to 1 & 3 Elwood Street - it was from there he went missing on 10 September 1983
@islingtongztte On 29 December 1983 #PIE 's Minor Problems reported meeting with Picton & in May 1984 PIE called on the council to let John Picton reunite with the boy denouncing their separation as an "inhuman wrong"! Why did PIE think their views would have any sway with @IslingtonBC?
@islingtongztte@IslingtonBC "It’s high time to act.Islington council purports to be the most radical socialists in London. We ask them:why was this inhuman wrong done?We request them: let [the boy] and John meet again. We demand from them: repair,on the political level, your bureaucracy’s criminal bungling."
What credibility did @IslingtonBC have with PIE / pro-paedophile activists in 1983-84 and why?
Within 4 years of being elected #FallenAngels Sandy Marks would become Chair of Social Services Committee & would remain as Chair or Vice Chair 1986-1994 - so far in our research Ms Marks appears to be longest serving member & chair of SS committee 1971-1994
ISN survivors say Picton still visited the children’s home after his conviction. Still no investigation.
