Violently arresting the spokesperson for the peaceful protest that spurred your recent proclamation on Philly's collaboration with ICE is a bad look.
We see you. We vote.
You had your negotiations. You held your press conference. You stood in front of #Philly and talked about your good conscience.
And when the dust settled and the cameras cleared, you went after them. Vindictively.
You figured you could appease the liberal base and seen on the side of tolerance and reform.
But then you had the Philly police chokeslam a woman who had embarrassed you with her protest
24 hours in jail and you still haven't figured out what to charge her with.
I get how that's tricky cause she didn't DO ANYTHING.
It's gotta be difficult to make up a justification for police brutality that's gonna stick when there's video, huh?
@PhillyMayor You really gonna use jail to settle your political scores with protest organizers?
This is petty vengeance.
You held a stand down order for weeks while cameras were pointed at City Hall.
Every protester you arrested yesterday was cited and released before sundown.
But the protest organizer that you had brutalized sits still. Uncharged a day later.
Just about every mention of you in the news for the past week has involved Deborah Rose or the many vulnerable people whose cause she had been amplifying at your expense.
Do you think we think you don't know she's in your custody now?
Your staff has watched every move of these protestors and you are updated about everything happening in these protests.
Why taking so long to charge Deborah Rose for trying to de-escalate violence against Philly's vulnerable populations?
Thanks to all the support, calls, outreach and amplification I am happy to say that Deborah Rose @Dinodelphia was released without charges after 28 total hours in jail.
To be clear, after a brutal arrest and over a day in jail, the City of Philadelphia found no charges to justify the arrest, much less the brutality.
This ain't over.

Kavanaugh is using the same playbook that worked for Trump
Pretend that their validity hangs on proof of one big, difficult to prove thing (Rape, Collusion) rather than on the many smaller, easily provable things (Perjury, corruption, temperament, lack of qualification, etc)
The Big Sin sucks all the air out of the room and distracts everyone from the boatload of Smaller Sins.
So if we can't nail them on the Big Sin, they can be excused of all the others and we can pretend that they only came with one questionable issue.
Any focus on The Smaller Sins is then laughed off as trivial in comparison to the Big Sin and is portrayed as petty.
Isn't it weird how people don't respond well to random foreigners trying to take their kids to a hotel and then stalking them and accusing them of kidnapping when they refuse?
She decides (as many Americans do) that if a person doesn't speak English, then speaking English with what she thinks is their native accent will make them understand
She also operates under the assumption that if people are living in conditions she personally believes are sub-standard, the she has a right to remove their children from their custody and to consider them hostile for refusing to let her do so.
