Real Effective training programs need to be instituted in our Prisons so that when people get out, they have a life to go into, and they don’t re-offend and become career criminals.
The For Profit prisons need to be shut down! The 13th Amendment abolishing slavery was passed in 1789. However, not only are prisons being paid to house criminals, they make further profit by using slave labor. This creates a corrupt system of lobbyists, judges, and legislators.
A For Profit system will NEVER focus on criminal rehabilitation because it is not in their financial interest to do so.
The incarceration rate of the United States of America is the highest in the World!
While the United States represents about 4.4% of the world's population, it houses around 22% of the world's prisoners.

It is a proven fact that our prisons DO NOT serve to rehabilitate criminals, but rather act more as a CRIME UNIVERSITY. It is said that criminals that have spent time in prison typically become MORE SUCCESSFUL in their criminal lives than before they went in.
And thanks to a lack of education or training, lack of resources, and prejudices in hiring people with criminal records, it is difficult to find a job in this ever increasingly competitive job market. Thus, many who get out feel they are left with no choices...
Meanwhile the WOLVES on Wall Street, in Government, in Banking, and in Big Corporations commit heinous atrocities regularly that don’t just hurt individuals but hurt entire populations... and we seem to never see arrests! They, if anything at all, get a slap on the wrist (fined)!
When someone is charged with a crime, the DA will purposefully trump up the charges to intimidate and force people into plea deals... whether they are innocent or not! And the people that can’t afford the excessive bail amounts stay enslaved in jail until they do.
95% of all criminal legal cases are settled by plea deal. That should tell you something. Attorneys are expensive and only the well off can afford them. Those not wealthy enough are stuck with public defenders with HUGE case loads. Going to actual Trial can take years...
