1/ Why Modi government’s #Rafale36 is not a transparent deal and why the cost of around ₹1670 crore per Rafale is too exorbitant a price? Why Opposition is calling it #RafaleScam?
We have clear answers available in public domain given by The then DM Parrikar. #RafaleScamThread
2/ A Ministry Of Defence press release dated 28 August 2007 states the then government’s estimated cost for the MMRCA deal with total 126 aircrafts were ₹42,000 i.e 333.33 cr per aircraft.
pib.nic.in/newsite/erelco…
3/ Immediately after Modi Announced the #Rafale36 deal from France, in an interview to a News Channel, the then DM Manohar Parrikar told “if we go for 126 Rafale, the total cost would have been 90,000 crore ‘inclusive of everything’”.
4/ That means, the price would have bee ₹714.28 crore per Rafale “inclusive of everything”. Okay, for an argument, let us be a bit more generous and add another ₹250 crore (for the heck of it). Still it is more than ₹700 crore less than Modi govt’s price (per aircraft)
5/ Parrikar, in another interview (NDTV) told, the decision to purchase 36 units of Rafale was PM Modi’s own decision
6/ Yet, in another interview to Doordarshan, Parrikar reiterated what he told to NDTV - The decision was taken by Modi alone and many BJP leaders are unhappy with it
7/ Later, Parrikar changed his stand and said 126 Rafale would have costed 1 lakh crore - 10,000 crore more than what he said earlier. That is ₹793.65 per Rafale inclusive of everything which is still ₹877 crore less than Modi govt’s deal price
ndtv.com/india-news/pre…
8/ Later Parrikar again contradicted himself and changed the total value for 126 Rafale to 1.3 lakh crores. That is ₹1031.74 crore per Rafale inclusive of everything which still is ₹639 crore per aircraft less than Modi govt’s ₹1670 crore per aircraft.
thehindu.com/news/national/…
9/ So, the question remains - where did the money go? Even if we take the the highest value quoted by the then Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar (for the heck of it) - ₹1031 crore per aircraft, Why did Modi govt paid ₹23,004 crore extra for 36 Rafale - That too without ToT?
10/ That precisely is the reason Nirmala Sitharaman and other Ministers of Modi govt along with RW supporting media and Modi Bhakts are not comfortable in disclosing the actual price because this as his own decision, it implicates Modi directly with massive corruption in the deal
11/ Because while Modi was announcing his decision to purchase 36 Rafale fighter jets from France for Indian Air Force, Defence Minister of India was busy inaugurating a Mobile fish stall in his home state Goa
navhindtimes.in/parrikar-inaug…
12/ At the end of the day, everything proves it was a unilateral decision by Modi where he didn’t even consult his cabinet colleagues and no mandatory approval from the Cabinet Committee on Security was taken before his announcement.
13/ Read this along with the incorporation of two new defence manufacturing companies by two business magnets - immediately before Modi’s announcement - who are personally close to the Indian PM.
Without doubt, we can say, Modi’s #Rafale36 deal is a scam.
14/ We have highlighted all these flip flops of Parrikar and more details in an article last year November. You can read it here👇🏼

1/As Modi govt claims, Negotiations with Rafale didn’t fail, but differences ironed out and Dassault and HAL signed a work share agreement.
As everyone claim, Dassault Reliance JV was not formed in 2016, but immediately after Modi’s announcement

1/ Modi Govt, cabinet ministers, BJP spokespersons and party supporters, fake defence experts and spineless journalists are all speaking in the same voice and parroting the govt stand on #Rafale36. But Modi’s #Rafale36 deal is not just about the price escalation. #Thread
2/ Neither BJP Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman nor blog minister Arun Jaitley never answered anything about the following questions: When did IAF requested for 36 Rafale? To whom did IAF submit the request? Which committee held the meeting?
3/ Who chaired the meeting? When did the approval for 36 aircrafts given? Who approved it? Why the then Defence Minister Parrikar was not aware of the deal? Why did Parrikar say it was the decision of PM soon after Modi’s announcement from Paris?

1/ When Modi ordered #Rafale36 off the shelf from France, Modi himself and his ministers, other BJP leaders along with Modi bhakt Media reporters kept repeating and keep repeating one sentence- “it is an emergency purchase for IAF”
2/ If it was an emergency requirement, it would have been ordered under the Fast Track Procedure of DPP. If so, when did IAF submit the proposal for 36 Rafale and did the then Chief of Air Staff approve it? When was the approval given by DAC and did Mr Parrikar know about this?
3/ If IAF submitted its proposal and DAC approved it, when did the meeting take place? When was this proposal processed?
If not, who gave the he number 36 to Modi? How could Modi take such a unilateral call in violation of all the set procedures? And why he did so?

1/ No Mrs @nsitharaman. This is another false statement from you.
The first question is, who gave the permission to PM to take a unilateral decision and why didn’t he wait for a CCS approval before his announcement?
Why did the then Defence Minister was not consulted?
2/ Another question you never answered is why did Modi govt agreed on Geneva as the seat of arbitration? And why did Modi govt agreed to pay in advance before the delivery?
How did such big a deal went through without the mandatory bank guarantee from Dassault?
3/ If Dassault falters on delivery schedule, in absence of a bank guarentee, what is the security Modi govt got from France?
Why did law Ministry’s red flag on the contract was sidelined? Who advised for that? And for whom?
