What is unfathomable is the hypocrisy. This soldier clearly passed the Army’s standards & requirements- around training, health, behavior/comportment- kept her nose clean, did her job for 4 yrs. All just for this soldier to be kicked out w no real cause & risk #deportation.

You know how isn’t always kicked out of our #military with this kind of vigor?

Hyper-religious homophobic commanders who still don’t respect or uphold open service policies

Not only is this morally repulsive, it‘s dangerous. The military has struggled w mismanagement, deteriorating morale & brain drain for yrs. Doubling down on institutional injustice, bigotry & a right wing orientation will further dispel increasingly progressive youth frm joining.

As we waffle in a questionable long war, overlook bad leadership while scapegoating increasingly diversified enlisted & officers, those who find bigoted ideals appealing, thirsty for violence, will be drawn to join &fill the vacuum of those kicked out based on bigotry #vetsvshate

Ive witnessed up close the painful direct impact this admin’s policies have had on #immigrant, #trans & #women service members. Each person Ive known who had their life upheaved bc of being forced out by this bigoted CIC’s perogative were the NCO/officer weve desperately needed
