Shiva & Shakti overlooks you from every hill, Nagaraja of Danda ka Nagaraja or SemMukhem take care of their devotees, Vishnu and Lakshmi sits at Badrikashram, divinity of Narsingh at Joshimath or Karthik Swamy in Rudraprayag fill you with divine... #Devbhumi #Uttarakhand
Raghunath ji of Devprayag overlooks the divine confluence of Bhagirathi & Alaknanda to give us Ganga ji, only 35 kms upstream is Maa Dhari - the Shakti of Shiva; and then take any road from that place onwards- it will take you to Devi temples- that fill every landscape! #Devbhumi
Continue driving uphill from Karnprayag and you will reach ancient temple complexes of Adi Badri; come back and cross into Joshimath valley along Alaknanda ji to enter the Badrinath valley - can go to Hemkunt or visit Badrinath ji - #Devbhumi it is!
And then I have not even started talking about temples of Kumaon- be it Jageshwar or Katarmal or eve Payal Bhuvneshwar or temples of Jaunsar- yes if there is one #DevBhumi in India, it is Uttarakhand & u have to let urself soak in the divinity of the region to feel it- sense it!

This pic is of Tilu Rauteli of Uttarakhand- yesterday was her 357th birth- she was born on 8th August 1661 in Pauri’s Gurad village. Her father’s name was Bhoot Singh Gorla. Her father was the Thokdar (in charge of a group of villages) of Chaundkot region.
Tilu had 2 brothers-Bhagtu & Parthva & was engaged at 15 to Village Idaa’s (Patti Mondasyun) Bhuppa Negi.Those were the days when Katyuri dynasty was trying to wrest Garhwal and used to frequently attack the region with all their might. Her father was martyred in one such attack
Following her father’s martyrdom- both her brothers as well as her fiancé were also killed in the attack by Katyuris.... Tilu was a girl of 15 then & were ignorant of the gravity of her loss. Few days after her brother’s & fiancé’s death, fell “Kauthig” (fair) of Kanda.....

Dear @Ram_Guha : I don’t expect u to reply to me simply because u won’t-
If u r honest, then correct me if I am wrong- “in Nov 1962, Dharampal was arrested along with two co signatories (Narendra Dutta and Roop Narayan) 4 writing a letter to Nehru demanding his resignation 1/2
And @Ram_Guha : all 3 were released from jail after few months and on the intervention of LBS- then HM and JP; if u have little honesty then prove me wrong on this -else stop peddling ur lies on Nehru- I am talking FACT here & not creating scenario
So given what Nehru did with 1st amendment, CrossRoad, Organiser and arrest of Dharampal, Roop Narayan and Narendra Dutta (for a crime of writing a letter demanding resignation) - @ram_guha better to say-“Nehru wud have done Indira much before 1975”
