#OH12 left us with a cliffhanger. We all worked so hard to give @dannyoconnor1 an outright win. Yes it's a steep climb, but it could still happen. Either way, we did good!

But let's not overlook the OTHER good House news from last night.
In "Toss-up" #MI08 Democratic primary voters OUT-VOTED Republican primary voters.

Democrat Elissa Slotkin (@ElissaSlotkin) is going to FLIP this seat right out from under incumbent GOP Rep. Mike Bishop.

But only if we help her right now.

In "Toss-up" open seat #MI11, Democratic primary voters OUT-VOTED Republican primary voters.

But Democrat Haley Stevens (@HaleyLive) needs to hit the ground running if we want to FLIP this seat.

So let's get started.

Register. Vote. DONATE. Volunteer.
In "Likely GOP" #MO02, Democratic primary voters SWAMPED Republican primary voters. This race will be upgraded to "Toss-up" soon enough.

Democrat Cort VanOstran (@cortvo) is running to FLIP this seat held by GOP Rep. Ann Wagner.

So do it.

Register. Vote. DONATE. Volunteer.
In newly-designated "Toss-up" #KS03 GOP Incumbent Kevin Yoder only received 68% in his primary.

Democrat Sharice Davids (@sharicedavids) is a star in the making.

@CookPolitical upgraded this seat to "Toss-up" for a reason.

Register. Vote. DONATE. Volunteer.
In "Likely-GOP" #WA03 incumbent GOP Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler only managed 41% in the top-2 primary, with some votes left to be counted.

Democrat Carolyn Long (@ElectLong) is in a great position to FLIP this district with our help.

Register. Vote. DONATE. Volunteer.
In "Lean-GOP" #WA05 incumbent GOP Rep. (and GOP leadership member) Cathy McMorris Rodgers barely came in first in the top-2 primary, with some votes left to be counted.

Democrat Lisa Brown (@lisa4congress) needs our help to make this happen.

Register. Vote. DONATE. Volunteer.
In "Toss-up" open seat #WA08 Republican Dino Rossi managed 43% of the vote, but his Democratic opponent has not been decided. But once Democrats coalesce around the eventual nominee, we will have a great chance to FLIP this seat.

Whoever wins:

Democrats in Florida have 2 chances to make history in 2018:

1. By electing @andrewgillum to #FLGov.

2. By taking the FL State Senate back after *24* years.

If you know of ANYONE in Florida, or have ANY Floridian followers, please share!
The Florida State Senate is made up of 40 seats.

22 seats are currently held by Republicans, 16 are held by Democrats, and 2 are vacant.

Democrats need a net gain of +5 seats in order to take the chamber.
Florida State Senate elections are staggered, so only 22 of the 40 seats are up for grabs in 2018.

Gaining 5 seats is tough, but the numbers prove it’s doable.

Please spread the word about these Democratic contenders!

The Primaries are over!

It’s now full-steam ahead to the Midterms.

But before we get there we have to register NEW voters along the way, and deadlines are approaching fast.

Find your state(s) of interest and RT!
Every state has different rules, conditions, and dates…which can get confusing.

It also means that in order to create a thorough voter registration thread, there can only be 1 tweet per state.

There will also (hopefully) be a 1-page unrolled version of this thread at the end.

As Green Day once sang: “Do You Know Your Enemy?”

If not, we need to have a talk about the Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPac).

THEY ARE THE ENEMY of the 2018 Midterm Elections and they WILL cost us seats IF we let them.
The CLF is a right-wing SuperPAC spearheaded by Paul Ryan. It’s goal is to lie about and smear as many Democratic candidates as possible.

They have raised more than $100Million from billionaires looking to keep the GOP in power.
Back in May, Paul Ryan personally solicited billionaire Sheldon Adelson for $30Million for the CLF. He made the pitch and then walked out of the room so that someone else could make the actual “ask”, in order to avoid campaign finance violations.

I usually don’t take sides in primaries, but when it comes to the "Democrats" of the Independent Democratic Conference (IDC) in the New York State Senate, I have no choice.

PLEASE WATCH this explainer on the IDC narrated by Edie Falco:
There are 9 real Democrats challenging 9 fake “Democrats” this year in the New York State Primary on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH.

These real Democrats MUST win their primaries if NY is to have a true-blue Progressive future.

PLEASE spread the word on these @NoIDCNY candidates!
In NY State Senate District 38, real Democrat Julie Goldberg (@Julie4NYSenate) is vying to unseat IDC “Democrat” David Carlucci. Julie is an educator, a writer, and a mom who wants to fight for Progressive values in NY.

Q2 Fundraising is over, and Democrats did a great job!

But I was chatting with @ybbkaren and an interesting question came up:

With SO MANY great candidates, how do we decide who needs donations the most? Many are worthy, but our personal funds are not unlimited.
So I came up with an idea for my own list of Dems who need $$$ based upon the following criteria:

*They have won their primary
*They are trying to flip “swing” GOP-held seats (per @CookPolitical ratings)
*They are behind their GOP opponents in “Cash on Hand” (per @OpenSecretsDC)
That’s not to say that other Democrats in swing districts are not worthy. They are. But the following, from a strategic $$$ perspective, might be the best place to donate *for now*.

This is the list of those House candidates, and their donation links, based on that criteria:
