I am half way through Omarosa's book #Unhinged. I think there have been some insights but as expected, there are far too many points where it is clear that she should have known better. I am entering the 2nd half of the book and will report back but so far:

1) Omarosa states
that she was campaigning for Hillary through a Ready for Hillary PAC outreach called Hillary for America started at Howard University (where she completed her masters) but that someone on Hillary's team dropped the ball.

This left a bad taste in Omarosa's mouth and she switched
to Trump because he asked her and because her efforts were supported with actual follow up.

2) Omarosa didn't think Trump would actually win.

3) Omarosa felt that Trump's woman problem was similar to President Clinton's and that it was typical of male politicians behaving
badly.

4) Omarosa liked Michael Cohen as a person but did not like Paul Manafort.

5) Fox News sent the Trump campaign transcripts of Hillary's speeches and breakdown analysis, with 'specific suggestions for how to respond to her, line by line' throughout the campaign.
6) Trump always berates Don Jr. and waits for him to screw up constantly.

7) Trump is attracted to his daughter Ivanka (duh) and Ivanka plays it for all its worth to get what she wants.

8) Lara Trump is a true Trumpeter who consistently supports her father in law and his
view of how women should dress etc.

9) Hope Hicks is nice but basically dumb. Omarosa said it in a nicer way but...

10) Donald Trump was very uncomfortable when he had to speak at Pastor Wayne T. Jackson's all black church. He couldn't believe how long the service was and
basically couldn't relate to anyone present. He begged Omarosa not to 'leave him alone' with the congregation known as 'those people.'
11) Lara Trump is as hateful as the rest of the Trump's. When Hillary fainted after the memorial service at Ground Zero with pneumonia, the Trump campaign was gleeful. They thought Hillary wouldn't make it to election night.

Omarosa fit right in and seemed to be unable to be
a decent human being and simply wish Hillary a speedy recovery as any respectable competitor would.
12) Supposedly at the 46th annual Congressional Black Caucus Legislative Conference in DC, Omarosa ran into Hillary. Hillary gave Omarosa a 'lukewarm smile' and said, "Donald? Really?"

13) When Don Jr. likened Syrian refugees to a bowl of Skittles, Trump was annoyed by his
restarting the racist Trumps narrative. Trump shook his head and said "Look at what he did now. He screwed up again. What a fuck up."
14) Omarosa writes that "Donald Trump's single greatest character flaw as a leader and human being is his complete and total lack of empathy."

15) Omarosa felt it was wrong for such an intelligent person as Hillary to stay married to Bill but it was ok for Melania to stay
because Melania was "fully aware of who her husband was and what she'd gotten into by marrying him."

That is an epic failure in my opinion. Omarosa is just as biased as her mentor Trump. But maybe it is ok for Melania because she isn't as smart as Hillary? 😄
16) Trump and his team were thrilled when Comey announced that he was reopening the investigation into Hillary's emails.

Of course they were, Comey was a big boost for them.

17) On Election Day, Melania was smiling and desperately wanted Trump to win. Omarosa points out that
Melania rarely smiles unless someone asks her about her son.
18) Omarosa claims the Clintons have a 'big, deep bag of tricks' to win elections but no facts to support this.

I guess she has Clinton Derangement Syndrome even though she claims she admired Hillary and wanted her to win previously 🙄

19) If Trump lost the election, he would
start Trump TV, a Fox News like channel that would 'provide 24 hour news coverage.'

20) Michael Cohen was prepared to challenge the election results if Hillary won.

21) Omarosa feels that the media caused voter turnout to be low for Hillary because they made her victory sound
like a sure thing. If the press had not done that, people would have shown up and Hillary would have won.

22) Omarosa states many policemen told her that they voted for Trump because he was 'the law and order candidate.'

I don't understand how Omarosa tolerates this because her
father and brother both died via murder.

23) Omarosa is swarmed by an angry mob the next morning after Election night and is surprised that people want to hurt her.

24) When Ivanka started dating Jared, Trump said "He seems a little sweet to me" (i.e. gay).
25) Omarosa sees Trump's cabinet fill with swamp monsters and has a moment with Steve Bannon.
26) The White House was all set for Hillary. Her team would have been ready to go and the executive mansion too.
26) The White House was all set for Hillary. Ready to go.
27) Omarosa expresses shock that Trump would disrespect Congressman John Lewis and asks him to stop it.
28) Televangelist and so called spiritual advisor to Trump Paula White objected to Omarosa's being given the Office of Public Liaison (OPL) position and told Reince not to hire her. Supposedly this was because Omarosa wasn't an evangelical and was an ordained Baptist minister
instead. Omarosa had a heated conversation with Paula but eventually was made Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison instead. The administration was looking at Scaramucci to be director instead.

29) Trump didn't want to use a Bible for his swearing in. He
wanted to use 'The Art of the Deal' instead 🙄 Using a Bible is not mandatory but Omarosa told Trump not to do that nor even mention the idea to anyone.

She points out that Trump never reads the Bible and that it "might as well be a paper brick to him."
30) Omarosa discusses the lack of basic equipment and furniture ready to use as Trump took office but already Trump is ready to unravel Obama's legacy.

Stop for a moment to take this in. We all read about how unprepared Trump's administration was but even then, Trump's first
order of business was to sign executive orders to repeal Obama's legislation.
31) Sean Spicer decided that the Trump administration would back Trump up 100% by saying that 1.5 million people attended the inauguration.
32) Omarosa admits that in Trumpland, "the only defense for most situations was 'whataboutism' mostly about Obama and Clinton"

33) Omarosa begins to notice that Trump has decreased mental faculties since The Apprentice. He can no longer retain facts, mixes up numbers and is
easily distracted. Trump cannot speak in complete sentences and "when I tried to correct him, he became frustrated and more irritable." When it was time for the first day of Black History Month, Omarosa was worried he would say something crazy. Trump's response:

"I got it. Don't
worry. The blacks love me!" 😑
34) Omarosa convinced Reince to allow her and a delegation to go to Haiti for the inauguration of Jovenel Moise. When she told Trump, he asked her "Why did you choose that shitty country as your first foreign trip? You should have waited until the confirmations were done and
gone to Scotland and played golf at (his course) Turnberry."
When Omarosa reprimanded him and reminded Trump that he had promised to help Haiti during his visit to a Haitian American community in Florida, he drew a blank, not remembering.
35) 🚨🚨🚨🚨 Omarosa begins to be troubled by Pence. "The first thing I noticed was that people on his staff kept slipping up and calling him president - accidentally sometimes. Jokingly, in private, I heard people say things like, "When we're in charge...," or "Once you become
president..." I asked him (Pence) explicitly if he had any ambitions for the highest office after Donald completed his two terms. Pence said, "Two terms? You think two terms? That's good, I like the way you think, Omarosa. I'm here to serve the president. I'm only loyal to
the president."

Omarosa states "I suspected that Pence was just bidding his time, looking the part of the perfect VP, until Trump resigned, was impeached, or served his term."
🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
36) Omarosa actually seems to do her best to promote African American interests but she doesn't see the truth. She was NEVER going to see her programs successfully supported because Trump is a bigot and so is the rest of the administration. It would be funny if it wasn't so
sadly obvious.

Omarosa coordinates event after event and every single time they fail because of something Trump or her fellow team members do.
37) Omarosa reports that Trump reads at an eighth or ninth grade level who she wrote is "just side of functionally literate."

Trump "has never read from beginning to end any of the major pieces of legislation, policies, or even some of these executive orders that he has signed.
Senior advisors spoon-feed him 5 to 10 bullet points about the legislation and forgo any discussion of the complexities."

38) Ivanka is thin skinned like her father and cannot take a joke. Ivanka hated the SNL skit Complicit.

It hurt Donald when people joked about Ivanka. He
wanted her and Jared to leave the WH and return to NY because he couldn't protect her against the press.
39) Omarosa raises the possibility that Ivanka was asked to be an advisor because of Trump's decreased mental faculties. He was paranoid and constantly irritable. She welcomed Ivanka's appointment because she felt her father needed her help.
40) 😔
41) Omarosa and Trump discussed guns after an NRA event. She "learned that he (Trump) owned a
.45 caliber Heckler & Koch pistol and a .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver. During one of the GOP primary debates, I recalled that Trump had said, "I do carry on occasion, sometimes a
lot. I like to be unpredictable." I felt a bit of a chill, putting that together with his famous claim at an Iowa rally in January 2016, "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose any voters, okay?"
42) Trump fired the head usher of the White House, Angella Reid, because he didn't like her handling of his tanning bed. She also happened to be African American 🙄

43)
Trump once criticized Kellyanne's appearance saying "This place is taking a real roll on her." 😂
*toll*
44) Trump states "In a very short period of time, I will get rid of Betsy DeVos." He calls her Ditzy DeVos and Omarosa notes that we should all be afraid of what she is doing to the education system because she is just as incapable and nutty as we have feared.

45) Donald calls
George Conway, who is half Filipino, a f**cking goo goo and FLIP.

46) Trump asked Omarosa "Why do you keep trying to work with those people? They clearly hate me."

Those people of course meant African Americans.

47) Hope Hicks was 'cozy' with Maggie Haberman. Ivanka and
Jared with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.

48) Trump called Sean Spicer "Mr. Men's Warehouse." When Sean was fired, he was allowed to stay in the WH for several weeks to use the office to find a new job.

49) Of the four elder Trump children, Eric was "the easiest, always
kind and pleasant to be around." Omarosa believes he is Melania's favorite.

50) Ivanka has a horrible "pottymouth."
51) When Anthony Scaramucci was fired he "made a left by the chief of staff's office, stepped into a little cubby-like office, and started crying. One of the assistants saw and heard the whole thing. She described it as "a girly cry." 😳

52) John Kelly is a control freak.
Omarosa reports that he further isolated Trump and that made everything even worse. He was particularly rude to General H.R. Mcmaster. Kelly wanted everything to come through him first but Trump rebelled and began to use unsecured phones to talk to friends etc.
53) When the Unite the Right rally occurred in Charlottesville, Virginia, Trump was napping. Omarosa states "when things go south, Trumpland goes dark." Trump had no empathy. He did not see why he should address it.
54) Omarosa states that anyone who leaves or betrays the Trump cult is labeled as crazy or pathetic. "Lying is second nature in this administration." First he defended Steve Bannon then he became Sloppy Steve Bannon.

55) Omarosa admits the truth finally. "The distinction I'd
made between racial and racist, with regard to Trump, was a deception I had used to convince myself. It would be a while yet before I could see the clear picture on the other side of that wall, but I was getting there."

"Imagine if you had a mentor, a friend, someone you looked
up to for nearly 15 years, someone you sacrificed a lot to stand by under fire, who suddenly revealed himself to be your worst nightmare. I didn't want to believe it."
56) Secretary of Treasury Steve Mnuchin "refused to commit to the Obama-era initiative to put abolitionist Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill, replacing Andrew Jackson.

Trump "while flipping through the folder, he came to the picture of Tubman, the woman who personally brought
more than 300 slaves to freedom, risking her own life every time, and said to me, "You want to put that face on the $20 bill?" 😡
57) After Trump threw paper towels at the hurricane victims in Puerto Rico, he defended that by telling Mike Huckabee on his Trinity Broadcasting show, "They had these beautiful, soft towels. Very good towels. And they were screaming, and they were loving everything. I was having
fun. They said, "Throw 'em to me! Throw 'em to me, Mr. President!' So, the next day they said, 'Oh, it was so disrespectful to the people.' It was just a made-up thing. And also when I walked in the cheering was incredible." 😡
Omarosa acknowledges that Trump probably punished Puerto Rico to teach the mayor of San Juan, Carmen Yulin Cruz, a lesson.
General Kelly, like Trump, "referred to Puerto Ricans with derogatory terms many times."
58) Ok dear reader...We are almost done. Phew!

When General Kelly dropped his face into his hands after Trump stated that America might have "to totally destroy North Korea" during the UNGA, Kelly might have been having a migraine instead of a moment of disbelief. Kelly
is known to be a migraine sufferer. When he has a headache at work, Kelly is known to be "vicious, bordering on cruel to his staff."

59) General Kelly was upset when Omarosa would not cancel the WH Summit on Historically Black Colleges/Universities (HBCU) after Betsy DeVos asked
him to intervene. DeVos had been booed at the Bethune-Cookman's commencement and wasn't interested in supporting the event.

Kelly tried to intimidate Omarosa but she wasn't having it. DeVos was angry that it wasn't canceled and Kelly told Omarosa that if the event failed, it
would be on her shoulders. The administration tried to block the success of the event but Trump intervened and everything was smooth sailing. But Omarosa decides it is time to plan her exit once the event was a success.
60) Trump makes his infamous racist comments about NFL players taking a knee on September 22, 2017. Then Apprentice producer Bill Pruitt starts talking about the N-word tape again. Omarosa starts hearing more about its possible existence.

61) Trump attacks deceased Army
Sergeant La David Johnson's wife, Myeshia. Followed by another attack on Congresswoman Frederica Wilson. General Kelly adds to the turmoil by also berating them. In a senior staff meeting, Kelly spoke of Mrs. Johnson with disdain stating "How dare she put the call (with Trump) on
speaker? How dare she not just be grateful to receive a call at all?"
62) Kelly refuses to look at Omarosa or acknowledge her in meetings. It is made clear that he is a racist who does not like any so called minorities. This is "the same man who said that the Civil War was about compromise."
63) Omarosa believes Trump is physically ill and that his eating habits have caught up with him. She cites his love for Big Macs and fried chicken, no exercise except for golf, and his daily tanning routine. She mentions his weight gain since The Apprentice and drinks up to 8
Diet Cokes a day.

She mentions a study from Boston University that linked Diet Coke consumption with dementia and increased risk of stroke. She even gave it to Trump to review but he didn't. Then she was warned to stop bringing up the topic by Staff Secretary Rob Porter.
64) General Kelly supported Rob Porter even after his history of domestic abuse was revealed. Apparently he knew about this prior to its release and did not want Rob to leave. Omarosa felt Rob always had a weird look in his eyes and that he was the kind of man you would not want
to be alone with in a closed space.

65) When General Kelly dismissed Omarosa, she received a call from Trump the next day. He acted like he did not know she was fired. If he truly did not know, Omarosa felt it meant Trump was truly powerless. If he did know and was pretending
not to, then he was playing her.

During the call, Trump sounded sad to Omarosa and sort of lost.

66) Ivanka and Jared called next. Ivanka and Jared both expressed wanting to make sure she was ok and offered their help if she needed anything, telling her to call them anytime.
This was followed by Lara and Eric Trump's call. All of the Trump's expressed love and concern. Lara added an offer to work on Donald's 2020 presidential bid.

Lara mentioned that if she came on board there could be no negative stories etc. Essentially asking Omarosa to keep
silent regarding Trump related issues. Within 24 hours, Lara sent Omarosa a contract for $15,000 monthly to work on the 2020 campaign.
67) The above mentioned contact stated that Omarosa could never talk about anyone in the Trump family or the Pence family to anyone forever.

68) The infamous N-word tape is verified by a nameless source as truly existing. Omarosa feels freed by this final verification.
69) Omarosa closes the book by reflecting on how loyalty to Trump often destroys them. She reflects on Pence and how dangerous he would be as president. She clearly states that things are indeed horrible in the WH and we should all be very concerned.

70) Omarosa states that
Trump is very vindictive and that he will punish Melania if she does anything to hurt him. Maybe there is an issue concerning Melania's Visa that he would use against her.

71) Omarosa concludes that she believes that somehow we will survive the Trump presidency and that there
are possibly even people in Trump's own family that will make sure he doesn't cause harm to the republic.

THE END

I hope you found this useful. I went into reading this as no fan of Omarosa and I am not still. But I think she deserves to tell her story and I am glad she did.
Most of this thread is giving credence to what we already knew and/or felt. I don't support her previous defense of Donald Trump but I can understand that she felt she owed him some support and I actually think she genuinely cared about him as a mentor and friend. In the end,
Omarosa is probably one of the few who actually liked the man and by calling her a dog, he burned a bridge that he will likely regret. She isn't necessarily likable but Omarosa is smart in a street fighter sort of way and at least she isn't Ben Carson.

He is an Uncle Tom but
Omarosa is just herself.
